Waleed Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 did anyone try to make a multipass USB External Hard Disk?? i am trying but i am having some issues first of all i have a Hitachi internal Hard Disk that i have in an enclosure (i don't think this is a problem) second i have this HD partitioned to 3 about 20GB each (i think here is the problem) so when i stared the PeToUSB that didn't work on my HD, it gave me no USB Disks Found! (Did refresh it), so i used the disk management as hak5 recommended (FAT32), did the grubinst_gui, then copied the grldr from the grub4dos-0.4.4, created and edited the menu.lst in the partition that i intended to use for the images, rebooted and the boor screen came up tried booting konboot from the menu, but since it is partitioned that didn't work it kept saying: map --mem /konboot.iso (fd0) Error 21: Selected disk does not exist Press any key to continue and this is whats in my menu.lst timeout 120 title Boot the first Hard Disk rootnoverify(hd1) chainloader+1 title Kon-Boot - Login name is root map --mem /CD-konboot-v1.1-2in1.iso (fd0) map --hook chainloader (fd0)+1 map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook rootnoverify (fd0) tried this "map --mem /I/CD-konboot-v1.1-2in1.iso (fd0)" since the Disk Management program indicated that the partition that i am using is "I:" didn't work and yes i want to keep the partitions anyone knows what i am doing wrong?? U3 Android Zero Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Maybe I can suggest you to use a clonezilla, this may answer your problem. just use a multipass usb drive and use it as a source then copy the mbr to your external HD :) Quote
