I want to be able to control my iTunes on my computer but in my room my T-Mobile MyTouch constantly drops off the WiFi and does anyone know if I connected both to a VPN can I control the iTunes through the VPN using TunesRemote or Gmote?

I have rooted it, I'm running Cyanogen's 4.1.9.2
