Hello ...

I have been playing with NMAP and it show open ports and Physical address( MAC) for the computers in my LAN.

But I dont exactly know what we can do with it.

I have deployed RAT in my LAN and been successful   in it.

Can anyone expline me what exactly we can do with a MAC address.

The MAC address is part of the the second layer of the OSI network model. The mac address allows ethernet traffic to get to a host.

If you know the targets mac address you can do things like run a rouge DHCP server that only responds to that particular mac address.
