But I dont exactly know what we can do with it. I have deployed RAT in my LAN and been successful :lol: in it. Can anyone expline me what exactly we can do with a MAC address. Sparda Posted August 6, 2009 Share Posted August 6, 2009 The MAC address is part of the the second layer of the OSI network model. The mac address allows ethernet traffic to get to a host. If you know the targets mac address you can do things like run a rouge DHCP server that only responds to that particular mac address.
