well i went with fedora 8 and updated kernel so i can run my wireless network. to bad it dont have wep or wpa but maybe later. we will see.

You guys need to do a off season show called "HAK5 Blooper Special" i got your las episode off youtube and i was reading the comments ppl loved your bloopers while you are away you need someone to pull all your bloopers out and make a full show of it while you are on vacation from the show it would keep us all going till you return .

a easy way of connecting thru a wireless network card

man thats the koolest thing ever. All i wanted to do is set up a anntenna on my roof and on my friends roof and try to combine our net connection speeds some how. but this is out of its world.

well if he has 128 it sounds real old i say no more then 500meg but that u would have to look up on the net like everyone else says..

I find OpenSuse easier to install that Ubuntu and I find it more user friendly while keeping its Power user side.
*nix plus commandline = POWER USER
i totally agree im a command line guy but i do want a gue for websites and such

probly not cause u can't do a iso from a directory it needs to be in a root and alot of the files might be the same like in windows u got autorun in almost all cd's

well im far from a newbie to freebsd but it is fickle to setup these days. also I like the easy update install of new programs to freesbd

well topic says it all. I got this laptop it seems to only work well with vista i really dont feel like leaving vista on it. i would love to do something good with it.
I tried down grading it to xp what a nightmare. missing drivers for just about everything important.
model you ask? its a gateway mt3705. i do have a full recovery disk just incase what ever i do with it don't work so any ideas i might just try.
so shoot.

that is so true now adays years ago almost anyone can get in to any group i was in 3 different groups in the past but now im totally retired from all of that and i just play with websites. best plase to find hackers is still on efnet can't give you any channels it takes time to earn trust in ppl just becarfull. you know there are also books on hacking in barrons go buy some and read up and test on your own systems thats the best learning you will ever get.
