    Asus A8V / Athlon 64 troubles

    Well looks like Asus have been shipping some faulty goods recently :(

    From across the net I've seen a fair few cases of 'Received email from Asus updated bios still poo, RMA'ed back to Asus and now it works fine' - people mentioning bad solder joints or them melting after a few months of useage :(

    Also lots of cases of PSU not upto the job :(

    If the bios was an issue I would of thought that they would of updated it in more recent productions... 2 years ago, but its worth a shot.

    Yeah, funny thing... I was messing with my bookmarks about a week ago, and...well I'm not exactly sure what happened to them, but they disappeared.

    Try searching your drives for opera6.adr.bak erm well I think it's still labled '6'

    To be honest, if the failed bombings get a lot of publicity in the media, it's completely natural to understand why this is so-shock stories sell. As long as we all keep an open mind about why the people blew themselves up, why the overwhelming majority of Muslims aren't as cock-like, and how America's national religion of Christianity has been used to reason violence in the past (witch burnings, crusades, etc.) then I think we can just view/read stories like this with the appropriate pinch of intellectual salt.

    Nooo it's White supremacists they appeal too hell the American army appears to be going out of it's way to recruit them (problably because there the only dumbasses that will mindlessly fight - I say mindlessly it's all about power and oil -howeverin the real world oil ain't worth poo)

    In todays day and age most so called acts of 'Terrorism' along the lines of the one talked about here are total bullshit and pointless you do more damage to companies/people by just mentioning it rather than actually doing the act AND if no one gave a crap about your cause before they won't afterwards either all that will happen is you'll piss off a few companies (& some ignorant people) who will complain to a government and then they will go and anhilate you and your people and you will get nothing.

    See terrorism is not what most people think it is because to believe it will work for your cause you have to be thicker than fiberous shit and to pull it off you have to be a mastermind.

    1) the USA corp had been lying (over estimating) it's gold reserves for years (so hey all those people who were killed are actually patriots who died in service for the USA corp then) I guess it all being stolen duing the panic over the WTC collapses was a good thing

    2) No way in hell does that amount of gold go anywhere without the government/somebody law enforcement wise else knowing about it

    Mind you seems a moot point considering there are reports that the Taliban were shipped out by the US military at the start of the war to Pakistan and now seem to be leaking back in... Taliban because you always wanted to know what the CIA would be like without the LAW.

    ND-1100A dvd-r one of the first things you get in google - also I remembered reading about it way way back (I think it was) anyway it's risky so well you take your chances with it :(

    Oh and the other with the no read blank media have you tried running a disc cleaner through it also make sure the PSU actually is powerful enough to run the system... oh and that it's a Writable drive :D just joking on the last one

    If it's just the menus and no order of play changes I'm pritty sure it's just a couple of files that change - maybe you can get away with a file replacement?

    Anyway I'm 2 days into this upload lol so I'll finish it and send you the kill codes... maybe kill it after the other one is finished? It's still good publicity :)

    Side note I did have some problems with the menu but then I thought it was just my xbox derive having some reading issues - time to clean it lol

    Probably good to point out that as long as you're not a premium (a.k.a. paid) user with them, you're limited to downloading 30 MB every hour.

    Now I do believe they're decent and just let you grab the full rar, and then block you from any additional downloads for the next few hours until you're under 30 per hour again.

    Yup according to a friend you can go upto 100MB in one file, however I think the length of time you have to wait before downloading the next file is adjusted accordingly

    It's good for non-broadband users and as maybe a permanent no cost archive though... I think???

    Erm well do have a look on google because there were lawsuits a while back over Aerogel capacitors and the manufactures had to take back the dead boards and fix them at no charge (USA only - the lawsuit never did get taken up in the UK... I blamed my wife for years for killing an old PC then a year later I find the details of the Aerogel problem and the lawsuit lol)

    I use Sygate Personal Firewall on my Windows laptop to stop things phoning home.

    Sygate died last Oct - symantec bought them out :(

    This is why Norton firewall 2006 is a crap load better than 2005 LMAO

    Trinary FTW I have considered it many times complex yes but I figured it could be done by adding current flow direction into the equation (negative voltage)

    Why has no one yet made a dual laser DVD/CD drive? Raid style :)

    I think I read somewhere about a guy who has storage down to the magnetic readings of quantum spin pair (oh yeah that's the MRAM stuff right?)

    Also you could use the same principle as the new touch screen tech and shine the light refractively inside the medium then any surface destortions would refract some of the beam downwards (it's the multizonal touch tech)

    If MS were to provide an iTunes like service (99 cent songs) but in higher quality (vbr 192 kbps minimum) I wouldn't mind swtiching to an MS supported mp3 player. But I can only imagine the genunine advantage bullshit that application would come with - Making sure i have a license for every damn song.

    Erm they already do it's in conjunction with MTV and it's already bundled into the Vista Media player... urge.com

    $9.99 per month for unlimited access or $99 for a year ATM its all based on plays for sure and your tunes will stop playingafter so long when you stop subscribing (or so I've read)... it's more like rental than purchasing, but they claim to have more tunes than iTunes lol
