    Back on topic, I know for a fact that its very hard for the ISP to track down a cracked cable modem to anything more than a street or similar area in the UK. The can lock it over the network, but again they have to been actively looking for it in order to do this, and if the kill command is sent out and the modem is not on line at the time, it won't be locked out of the network next time you connect it.

    I was under the impression that the last modem on the network would get the internet, and that the one on first would be be booted off.

    Although I think that is beyond a fact, I would still appoint my people to over look this kind of stuff. Money makes the world go round, not having it everything stops... but that's coming from a poor college student.

    Also you cannot help these people if they are not willing to help them selves. I have read reports from Afghanistan where countries would donate fruit bearing trees, apple, orange, ect, to the local population in hopes that in the years to come they would harvest said fruits and sell them in order to expand their corps or to buy other things that they may need. Come winter however the locals would cut the trees down and use them as fire wood. I understand the need to stay warm, it gets COLD there, but I am sure that there are other things that could have been used as timber.

    One of the very first hacks I ever did was finding a way to use the demo lisence creation tool on a cover CD demo version of some crappy system speedup tool to generate a proper key for the product. I was extatic, until it crapped all over my NT 4 system.

    That was my first experience with reverse engineering. Some programs I could make print a valid licenses key in the key field when I would install it. It is honestly more fun to do that then use the actually program. Some of the more prominent software companies, adobe, use semi-complex algo and its a bit harder. Wow you could make an entire post on this subject.

    XBox 360 new error

    There is a new error affecting systems that may be based on a number of components failing, over heating in most cases. The error message is said to be a general hardware malfunction, error code E74. What is there fix for this situation? "Have you tried turning it off and on again?". This week Microsoft stated that some errors may fall within the extended warranty period. If you are seeing this error call or email Microsoft support as soon as possible.

    Using twitter as a C&C channel for a bot

    I like it, but an http bot would be just as good. Im not at home right now but I will have a look at your sauce within the next day or so. I think a better idea would be to use a newer twitter clone that doesnt do all the checks and what not, or use facebook status xml to send commands. Im sure if twitter happens to look over your twats and sees nothing but get, ping, ect commands they are going to get a bit suspicious, where as facebook has >1000000 users and cant be bothered by one persons twat. Still looking forward to reading what you have put together.

    I am still confused as to how one can be accused and convicted of "promoting other people's infringement of copyright laws". When has promotion ever been a crime? So every time a beer company says, "Hey drink this beer", and an under aged person sees that and drinks the beer, has the beer company commited a crime? All in all its bull shit and I will keep dling.

    Lol even though there are safe guards in place, root prompt, people are steal(c wat i did thar?) greedy enough to let it do what ever it wants just so then can xray some boobies. In any case I hope to see more MAC virii pop up in the coming year, it would be great to see a nice iPhone or Winmo worm.
