Interesting, when I did a 100 meter Dronie this morning all of a sudden the feed became laggy (haven't checked the result in the app yet but it can't be good), might be related to the caching. Actually I switched caching to the SD card, maybe not a good idea as the built-in storage would be faster. That could explain why I was finding 4.1.15 to be a bit "laggy" compared to 4.1.13.

With 4.1.5 I lost the connection this morning over the water at 1.5km using the "range extender" which doesn't sound normal since I got 1.5km last week with 4.1.14over land without extenders.

Yeah. I can't seem to patch the app properly. I mean I know the fcc hack works cause of the extended range. But I don't get a video cache toggle to switch on or off. And I don't get the drone asking me to change regions going from the modded app to stock app

I updated the GUI, so feel free to run whatever you want :D

The cmdline is the batch file, yes. Just double click it to run (run as admin) but as i said i recompiled the patcher app and moved it to the main-folder so it can work with the new patches ;)

    Best Regards

Thanks mate. I just downloaded a new zip file from github, and patched 4.1.3 again, I used the batch file and it asked me which patches i wanted to run, it had the cache one on there, so i assume it was updated and patched correctly.

  3. Excellent.

I really appreciate all the effort yourself and others have gone into for this to work.

I do know a little bit about coding, although not enough to just jump in and port things across, i wish there was another way i can help

Currently, I have modified a 4.1.5 version using your windows GUI app. And it works, but im not sure how efficient it is. As its not as good as my 4.1.3 modified version in terms of range, without glitchiness in the video

The 4.1.3 version will get 2kms easy without glitching using OTG

the 4.1.5 version will glitch randomly but still get a decent range, like 1.4kms or something.

One other question, when switching from a modified version to a stock version of the app, i cant get the app to warn me about changing areas and restarting wifi. It just seems to either get long distance with the modded app and short distance with the stock app.

Is there a better way of finding out if its currently on FCC or CE through the app? Both the modded and stock versions show 13 channels in 2.4, but theres a definite range difference. So far thats the only way ive been able to tell.

    1-yes otg

    2-yes otg

3-use android app 4.1.3 for Force FCC and then Use IOS 4.1.5 Iphone Ipad work i see 11 channel in 2.4ghz. Attention Update for RC don't Delete FCC Status :)

    Thanks for the update.

but why does it need to be OTG. Ive been running wifi from the RC to phone for the last week with no issues. I do get a very slightly better signal and less lag with OTG, but I dont want to be limited to OTG only. Can you explain why OTG is the only option for update .600?

Also, I dont run an iphone or ipad, so i cant load the app to see, But you're saying that 13 channels in 2.4 is certainly FCC?

And you can confirm that we can update the RC with no issues in the FCC forced mode?

hi everyone anyone know the new firmware .600 disable Forced fcc?

So seeing as though this up date is now going to be mandatory, otherwise the drone wont fly, can someone please give us an update on the following

    1. does the update .600 work with the foced FCC mode?

    2. Does the update 300 on remote also work with forced FCC mode?

    3. Is there a DJI GO 4 .1.5 modified version on the cards? (i am currently running 4.1.3)

    4. Is there a sure fire way to check if you're on CE or FCC (the channel listing showing 11 or 13 doesn't work for me, as mine shows 13 with both the modified app and standard app, it might be because it stayed in FCC from one app to another, even though i turned the spark off and on again between apps)

Thanks for all the hard work to all those involved. It really is apreciated.

ok so I did some testing in a huge filed today and found that :

    - if you're in FCC mode (thanks to Modded 4.4.13 for instance after accepting the WiFi change there) it will remain if you hit "cancel" with the stock 4.4.15 version

    - in FCC with 5.8+OTG I got 800 meter range with no dropouts so could likely have gone further

    - in FCC with 5.8+WiFi I started getting weak signal at about 250 meters, same as OTG+5.8 in CE mode so it seems FCC from the remote only works with OTG

    - I was in an "enhanced security" zone or whatever it's called and in 5.8+WiFi the screen prompt with two checkboxes kept popping up even though I confirmed each time,  very annoying !

    Hope that helps !

Did some testing myself last night, my spark arrived to me yesterday at lunch time in australia, so i was finally able to test the app.

It did mention to me something about being in a different location, and i clicked yes, it reset and hasn't done it again ( i assume thats the "Click ok" thing mentioned a few pages back)

with the remote connected to the aircraft, and the phone (google pixel xl) connected to the remote via WIFI, i was able to get 1.2 kms out, direct line of site, not behind trees or anything.

there was a couple of instances where it said video feed poor, but it was only for half a second, and it came straight back.

So i can confirm, that with the FCC mode set (using the hacked app), and with 5.8 set, and with wifi from RC to phone, the range is much better than CE mode (300 - 500 mtrs specified in australia).

Is there a sure fire way to have DJI go 4 app work with phantom 3 advanced? Id love to get the extended range on my P3A.

    Thanks

    Chris from australia.

Saw a post in Sparkpilots for a method to check whether you are in FCC or CE mode : look at the number of 2.4 channels, if 11 it's FCC if 13 it's CE.

Can't get .DJI.configs to give me 11 channels but ok with modded apk. Not sure what happens on the RC side with 300 fw though, will have to run some tests.

Can you use 2.4 with the RC remote also, and having the phone connected to the remote via wifi?

Or do you need the phone connected to the remote via cable?

Does 2.4 give better range, but less video quality? Or what happens with that?

Basically, what is the best setup?

RC and aircraft in 2.4, then rc and phone using USB?

Or RC and aircraft in 5.8, and rc and phone using wifi?

  8. Hey,

Just had to register to get some information

I have just created the apk for 4.1.3 and it loaded onto a friends phone fine, but i use a P3 Advanced, with the current version of dji go.

I have enabled the P3 option when creating the app, but when loading it on my friends phone, it didn't give an option for the P3.

    Any ideas?

I have a spark on the way, and would like to get longer range for the spark, and possibly the phantom 3 too.
