Scratch that post. Looks like mine got a pickup scan today so Friday is the day - my original guess will be correct. I'm happy with that! Just glad to know it's on the move finally. I sort of regret not getting the tactical bundle but I'm sure I'll be handing over my credit card info again soon once I see this beast in action.

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I appreciate all the work you do for the IT/infosec community. I am very much looking forward to giving this device a whirl. I might just be picking up a second one or maybe a NANO or perhaps the tac edition of the TETRA. -
Still haven't gotten shipment confirmation.
What shipping option did you pick? USPS or one of the UPS options?

Mine was not delivered today with the daily mail from USPS. My bar is set at Friday still. Hopefully USPS can at least push me some tracking updates! Can't be THAT hard to run a tracking system on par with UPS and FedEx...

Depending on your situation and set-up, ofcourse, but be assured the things a beast.
Yes I figured the usual caveats apply. I live in a suburban area where the houses are close but the streets have some good spacing between them. Terrain is a bit hilly as well which could further cut down on my range. But anything remotely like what you are describing will be very impressive.

Yeah, mine will get here in a day if it would just leave the Hak5 warehouse. Probably they need time to box everything up I guess.
Still worth the wait IMO - most of us have waited this long without issue so far so what's a few extra days ;)
I still think it's possible some of us with USPS shipping might just be a victim of the terrible consistency in tracking updates for that carrier. I have 4 Amazon packages due to be delivered today that all say out for delivery - here's to crossing my fingers the TETRA is in with them :D

Yeah Darren and Seb have seemingly been very gung-ho on the range on the TETRA. One of the things I'm really looking forward to seeing. Seems like an absolute powerhouse of a device.

It's been my past experience with the USPS that even though the website appears to be "stuck" on "created a shipping label" the actual item is in fact well on it's way. Not saying that's what's happening here but it'd be my bet. The USPS website is horrendous at updating. That's not Hak5 or Darren's fault. Also, this is just my opinion but I don't feel that Hak5 is you're typical online business selling items that can be found from any number of different sellers online. What they've developed is unique and quite a "nitch" market. Being as such I'd also seem to doubt they're profiting greatly from what they're selling. I could be wrong but it at least seems to me that they're in this more to share information (which is how original hackers of the 70's and 80's felt) than to line their pockets and become the next Zuckerberg. Speaking for myself I'm just happy as hell they do what they do and for the reasons they do it cause I really don't think they "need" to. It's not like I can just go and order a Pineapple, Nano or Tetra from somewhere else.
For that I say thank you Darren and Hak5.
Yeah...I really hate USPS tracking but they reliably do deliver to my address. At least locally here I'd probably rank the major couriers as UPS, USPS, FedEx (could be different elsewhere).
Although I have noticed USPS tracking got a bit better in the last year or so when Amazon started routing a ton more packages through them for last mile delivery. However, the last week or so I've had lagging tracking for a number of packages through them (not only this Hak5 package). Hopefully it's a case of lagging updates vs not being shipped out.
If they went out on Monday I should have it today! But I think perhaps closer to Friday is a better bet ;)

There are no additional charges.
Also I'm very surprised to hear how many people didn't get the initial email. I'll be mocking this scenario up again with a test product and a few accounts myself and see if I can't reproduce it. Thus far shopify has been pretty good to us in the email department.
Hopefully everyone who did not receive did check their spam folders and such before reporting not receiving it at all. Also possible that a few here and there did not check their spam folders until it had cleared from the spam inbox (not sure what the various email providers offer in terms of longevity for spam). Or maybe it was just a hiccup. Either way, thank you once again for the effort you guys (and gals) have gone through with everything.

I got the priority mail 2-day shipping for mine. So hopefully this time Wednesday I'll be unpacking an exciting box.
Can't wait to see all the stuff we'll be able to do with it. -
Yes! Just got my shipping notice a little earlier as well. So excited. Thanks to all of the Hak5 team for working so hard and keeping us all posted.

The one thing I think WAS out of line is him pretty much implying that he has not been kept updated. Darren has done an excellent job in keeping us updated. The entire team is very busy and they don't spend their entire day posting updates on the shipment of TETRAs. Call me a pessimist but when I ordered my TETRA I knew full well that there could be a significant delay. This was confirmed when the original issue was found.
I'm not upset or anything - I just think that there needs to be a clarification. The shipment doesn't have GPS tracking on it :P - Darren HAS provided and I'm assuming will CONTINUE to provide updates. I think an update every couple of days is more than enough.
I'd rather have a QUALITY product than one that was rushed off the production line.
No hard feelings - we are all entitled to our feelings and opinions.
DigitalData - I actually DO know (with high confidence) that they'll be here within the next week or two. Darren told us that it would be a few days from when they left the port and then a quick turnaround time once they reach Hak5 HQ. I'm not sure how you missed that in his recent messages. Barring another production issue or the shipment falling off the plane I'm not sure how you could read that they'd be delayed another few weeks.

EDITED TO ADD: I realize not everyone reads the forums. But given that we all have some tech knowledge and Hak5 is excellent in providing support via the forums - I'm not sure many people wouldn't think to check here for updates! I know it was my first stop to check for updates. It is one thing if we were ordering advanced grandma knitting machines to have to check a forum - but we are tech enthusiasts...we practically live on the internet ;)-

Patience folks. Whether it's the port in Hong Kong or the USA port it'll be within the next week or so that people are getting their shiny new pineapples.
It's likely the Hong Kong port - would assume a 2-4 day wait now for shipping and customs and then the turnaround once they get to Hak5 HQ!-

Any updates on when the Tertra will be in stock?
Check on the shipping thread on the TETRA forum. They should be enroute to Hak5 now and there may be some left after they fulfill the pre-orders. Obviously this batch will go towards satisfying the people who had orders in already. Darren can probably provide more insight as to whether there are still some up for grabs on this shipment.
Hoping to have one in hand within the next 1-2 weeks!

Well - tomorrow is a federal holiday so I'd assume if they do ship it'll be Tuesday. Maybe UPS goes out tomorrow but certainly not US mail. I'm giddy with excitement to give the TETRA a whirl!

To be honest they were probably sold out shortly after the announcement came out. I wonder if they just marked it as sold out now that they are back in the office and processing orders.

Quick check on the site, doesn't say sold out, so I'd assume in stock.
And since they've been shut for two weeks, I'd say there'd be a delay, but that's normal.
As hard as it is to wait, all I can say is be patient and it will arrive. And be well worth it.
Patience is my best friend for sure. This looks like a beast of a device. My mk5 hasn't gotten a lot of use the last few months.
I'm sure they have a ton of orders to catch up on. I probably should have placed my order as soon as it went live. Will be a nice late Christmas gift.

Very excited to try the 6th gen out. I just placed my order for the TETRA. Do you guys have these in stock now or is there going to be a short delay in shipping? Assume you are probably backed up from the holidays. Great work as always!

What's the outlook on stock in the coming weeks/months. Will it be a case of your guys ordering stock as needed or will there be a relatively steady supply coming in to meet potential demand? I'm definitely thinking I'll be ordering more units (at least one more) once I do some testing and exploring with the basic TETRA. Your opinion will definitely shape how quickly I or urgently I will be placing my second order.
