Just wondering if there any here I use linux about 60% now. I would use it all the time if i could install Linux on my school issued piece of crap and by piece of crud I mean LAMEST BOX EVER THOUGHT OF BY MAN!!!!

IRC is tricky to set up but if you really wanna try go wit Unrealircd on LINUX windows is terrible with IRC servers but whatever you do don't get Hybrid 7 or 6 suck no nickserv chanserv or fun oper override

lol, okay i wanna kinda be nice coz he did say 1 thing right...
go home, set up a server box, on this server box dont use Windows download a copy of Linux or BSD, i like FC3 (fedora Core) on this server set up apache, enable it to sue CGI, PHP, and MySQL (just for the hell of it), once ur done troll the internets for a copy of the 'CGI MySpace Proxy', set this up on ur server.
goto skool type in ur IP address for home, the u are able to spam the Hak5 forums from skool to ur hearts content... (dont spam i may be blamed...)
This is were i will stop helping u for ur n00b questions, if u can understand and set all this up then u are worthy ^_^. (remember kids, porn is for home and not for ur skool administrater to find on ur USB Flash Drive...)

I say go for it. Read up on copyright laws. Hell, your gut should tell you what not to host. And Server2003 isnt that bad. For a beginner I find it easier to get going that a LAMP configuration (though I'll get flamed for that comment). The best thing that will come from this experience is the knowledge you'll gain from setting up the server, installing the torrent packages, configuring everything, securing it (on windows thats like half the work). And when it's all said and done a lot of that will transfer to any OS. So go for it, and be mindful of your good friend google.

Ok I screwed up a flash drive royally so i need to format it and for reasons that ar to complex to explain in anything short of a novel to explain i need to do this from a dos boot disk I made one with USB drivers but for some reason it isn't working I've packed the image into a self extractor at http://teengeekslair.com/files/usbdos.exe maybe someone can help a self admited USB n00b out
