The companies don't make any money selling the printers to consumers. They make their money selling the INK cartridges that is why they implement EEPROM chips to prevent their customers from using refill kits and continue to get ripped off using their ink. It's just like going to gas station and only being able to use one type of gas because the nozzle was designed to be square and your car only fits a circular nozzle therefore you can't use it even though it's the same type of gas.

Greetings everyone, I will attempt to hack the HP ink chip EEPROM using a Bus Pirate 3.6 Main goal would be to reset the ink chip EEPROM counter and use my ink refill kit to save $$. Any helpful tips would be great. Thanks. -Pritner HP OfficeJet 4620 I will post pictures of the setup
