I did.
How close is this phone to the real AP vs the pineapple?
-
Did you deauth this phone off the real AP?
-
Is it still doing this? I put one on my home computer an it's been up for 21+hrs (with pine AP collecting SSIDs etc) and I just did a recon scan and gave me a full list of what is around. Is there anything else running on the nano? The one I just tested has fresh install with the latest firmware.
-
Not a problem I was just curious what you were on it's hard to have a starting point unless we know what you got. If you run into further trouble there are many here to help!
-
Are you on the latest software release? I've been messing around with pine AP and recon and it returns much more than one result so far. I'm wondering what else could be causing that to happen.
-
Hello-
Without knowing more perhaps something here will help you out.
-
I'll have to try this out I have one that I forgot the password to and for the life of me couldn't get it to connect as described in the recovery method by holding the button first.
-
Glad you were able to do it!
-
Post a screen shot when you're done! Would love to see the final outcome.
-
I saw it and just changed it in the paragraph in the code. Though I realized that it would adjust after running it anyway. Just was thinning for someone that might read it as is. Nice work on the new one!

This one? :)
I think thats the one :)

Also, I like the bunny.

Update to the latest version of the script
wget www.wifipineapple.com/wp6.sh chmod wp6.sh +x sudo ./wp6.sh
The new version contains error handling for the issues with overzealous network managers. The guided mode plays nice with 'em and uses iproute2 instead of ifconfig for more consistent results. Will look like this:
▄ ▄ ▄█ ▄████ ▄█ █ ▄▄ ▄█ ▄ ▄███▄ ██ █ ▄▄ █ ▄▄ █ ▄███▄ █ █ ██ █▀ ▀ ██ █ █ ██ █ █▀ ▀ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █▀ ▀ █ ▄ █ ██ █▀▀ ██ █▀▀▀ ██ ██ █ ██▄▄ █▄▄█ █▀▀▀ █▀▀▀ █ ██▄▄ █ █ █ ▐█ █ ▐█ █ ▐█ █ █ █ █▄ ▄▀ █ █ █ █ ███▄ █▄ ▄ █ █ █ ▐ █ ▐ █ ▐ █ █ █ ▀███▀ █ █ █ ▀ ▀███▀ ▀ ▀ ▀ ▀ █ ██ █ ▀ ▀ v6.4 Saved Settings: Share Internet connection from wlan0 to WiFi Pineapple at eth1 through default gateway 192.168.1.1 Since this is the first time running the WP6 Internet Connection Sharing script, Guided setup is recommended to save initial configuration. Nice rotating banners! The one uploaded had eth17 on it but not really a big issue once the guided script is ran.

Under network connections for your ethernet is automatically connect to this network when it's available on?
I like Sebs answer better than mine above.
-
You're correct it's trying to connect to the Internet over usb ethernet once the pineapple is plugged in. Should be in your Internet settings and shut it off after it boots. Then make sure you're on your wifi connection and getting Internet. Then run the script to share Internet access with the pineapple.

Ok I have to stop going down the ITS rabbit hole. For no reason what so ever I now want a side fire microwave and doppler radar...
This is my new favorite hack: http://blog.slndrtech.com/huggies-uber-amazon-and-its/
Thanks for sharing Telot!
Enjoyed that read

Was finally able to take the Nano out and set it up a little while ago. Setup went perfect with my Nexus 6p, just like your video. Plugged it into a USB battery I had laying around, and threw a wifi N dongle on it (connected to my home network so I could access from my PC) and put it out on the front porch.
Everything worked smoothly, and just as it should. The new UI is bad ass. Setup time was VERY fast and easy. I swear I'm picking up networks stronger than I do with my mk5 setup.... Is that possible? I'm digging the portability. Might have to throw this in the old MK5 tactical bag.
Next to try is connecting to my Kali/RPi2.

I noticed in picking up stuff better than the mark V as well.

Are you trying to use the cable that came with it? If so that is not a data cable.
-
Faulty devices will always happen. It happens with anything. Regardless of "development release" or final product.
You beat me to it.
-
I'm thinking if it's anything like my phone it will strain to pick up a network and thus really heat up the radio. Like I said before yhe thing stayed mostly cool when I booted it and just left it there. Guess I should've made it actually do some stuff.
Yeah it heats up a bit when active.

I had mine clipped on the outside of a bag all afternoon yesterday running on the battery pack. I did notice it becoming quite hot when plugged into the lappy this morning though. I'm not sure why I was running the same ssid collecting scans as yesterday with no changes.
Anyone using a Nexus 6p with their Nano wirelessly

Mine as well.
