Ok i have done some more digging into my schools network and before we start i am friends with my I.T guy at my school he knows that i like to test the system and he accepts that but he will not unblock stuff cause its his job so i am safe :D But here is how it works it is more like a jail the firewall blocks every port but port -80- -21- And i am not sure about -443- There is a filter on the proxie that is a white list same one is used in every Australian school i am pretty sure and the school blocks connections via I,P so i have to find a free domain website that is white listed that i can use with my home i.p other wise using a ssh tunnel will not work. I have heard of Maxthon cloud my friend configured it to make it a google crawler not sure if it will work tho. but other then that My school i.t guy has done a good job on the hole setup i'm only a new to this stuff but i know a fair bit so can you guys see any bypass in that setup?

well i restarted my ubuntu and i used sudo start ssh but my ssh is not working i cannot connect to it do i need to run some thing else? i reinstalled openssh-server as well still no luck ports are fowared

i use my own laptop they cannot take it and it is to get on my own internet so i use websites that are blocked? wtf how would there be credit card numbers in the server lol?

i got openssh server working on port 443 i can connect to it as well from my ip via ssh tunnel now i think i need a domain name to get past my school filter

i have permission the fact is how to set it up? i am still new i have ubuntu desktop i could host the server on but im not sure how to do it

Hey ill give you a brief overview of my schools network they use their own proxy (http) over here in australia so its really hard i have disabled the firewall on the computers and i have setup up a ssh tunnel server on my computer i tried to connect to it not from school to test it it works fine but when i try it in school i use putty right i enter my schools proxy info my info my server runs on port 63874 cause my school most def blocks port 22 but when i ssh tunnel into it i get connection refused :( sorry for the long read but i can't work out what i did wrong any help would be sick.
