  1. Hello everyone, I have a macbook pro running snow leopard, I just got the pineapple IV and im having trouble connecting to the pineapple via SFTP with ANY client, trust me ive tried em all. basicly I get the error cannot connect to server or what usually happens is I am re-prompted for the password (pineapplesareyummy) does anyone know if i am unable to connect due to my default macbook settings, pineapple settings or anything else that could be causing this issue? thanks in advance everyone!

  2. yes it does... prompt for a pw. Are you trying to find a way to move files to the device without having to provide a password?

I image in you generate the ssh keys, you can then configure rsync over ssh.

    NTF

no i dont mind providing the password (pineapplesareyummy) but do i configure rsync in the wifi pineapple interface?

  3. is SFTP turned on? download and use FUGU to scp any files you need over to the device.

thats how I get files over on it.

    NTF

It still just re-prompts me for the password:/ anyone know if this is a wifi pineapple issue or a networking/computer settings error?

  4. Hello everyone, I have posted on the forums several times before about my mk4 and i dont want to flood the forums with annoying questions about troubleshooting but heres basically the deal: I just got my wifi pineapple and I have a macbook pro running snow leopard newest version, I have my network sharing on in the setting and when i try to connect to my pineapple threw the interface 172.16.42.1 everything looks fine, BUT when trying to connect to it via SFTP or threw anything else it will not connect me not matter what client i use (cyberduck, filezilla, transmit) and ive hit a bit of a wall with my pineapple, will someone please walk me threw or help with any suggestions for connecting successfully to my wifi pineapple?

    thanks!

  5. Well... Since you are on a Mac scp is available from the beginning. If you would lie to use something more GUI-like then try Transmit. Then you can mount the pineapple as a mountpoint via sftp. My advice is still to learn to use she command line.

Im trying to do this via transmit and i go to sftp type in my stuff connect to the wifi pineapple network, plug in my ethernet then try to mount the disk, when i do this i get a little box that pops up that says "what is the password for the server 172.16.42.1 with the user name 'root', i type in pineapplesareyummy and the box goes away, it starts to load then bam, it just pops back up again.

  6. Hello everyone im a bit of a noob here, i see all these tutorials and help forums for EVERYTHING for the pineapple mk1, mk2 and mk3 but i can barley find anything on the mk4, can someone explain, help and walk me threw dns spoofing with the mk4? it would be greatly appreciated

  7. Hello everyone, I ordered the wifi pineapple mark 4 recently and have not yet gotten it, however i used to have the wifi pineapple mark 2 about a year ago and i had some issues with it. i was wondering if anyone knows enough about the wifi pineapple mark 4 to give me a brief walk-threw of it before it arrives. I need a basic reference from first plugging it into the interface to social media password stealing, other tricks and more! as much as you know (from personal experience) about it!!! (NOTE: i am running a macbook pro 2010 model with an intel chipset and version 10.6.8)

    Thanks!
