  1. Not only its insane, but it will be able to handle any game title that someone might want to throw at it.

Not necessarily. In these machines the cards are never put in SLI, so playing a game on it would only allow it to use a single card. In addition, in these systems the cards usually use a 8x bus speed (as opposed to 16x bus speed) purely because there aren't any motherboards that exist that can support more than 4 graphics cards without having to reduce the over all bus speed. This reduction in bus speed will have a significant impact in game performance. For simply shifting data in a non time constrained fashion 8x is fine.

  2. LMAO!!!!! thats insane. seriously! that is ALLOT!

450GB per 30 days is only 0.625GB per hour. Considering the connection is capable of 9.7GB per hour. That is approximately 6.4% usage of the maximum possible usage (Comcast want you to use about 3% of the connection you are paying for on average over the period of a month).

  3. Do they have a noscript extension for chrome? I don't think he was referring to FF.

I don't think there is any extension for Chrome that has this effect. Firefox actually has (at least) two (NoScript and HTTPS Everywhere), listing the options available is better than no options ;)

  4. So I have my site, that is currently running fine. I backup the SQL now and then. It's just a site I slap up IT notes to help me when out in the field, if I forget a command or something I can look for it on my site.

Now created a local setup of Wordpress to mess about with the different themes as think I want to change my theme on main site. Trying to load my SQL database up, but despite having written the password down, not sure if it's right. Everything works on the main site but now realise, if I need to restore, I may not be able to.

Is it easy to recover the sql password that was just simply setup via Cpanel, so nothing special?

The Wordpress local setup is on Windows and I'm not a fan of Linux.

Wordpress will have the password for it's database in it's configuration file.

  5. So how can i force my browser (Chrome) to always open all links with facebook.com with https:// ??

NoScript has an option to force SSL connections on specified domains and force secure cookies on specified domains.

  6. Never use the CD that comes with a router. Plug it in, it will work.

As this router has no documentation, find it's manual online, then do a factory reset (the manual will say how to do this). At which point the 'quick setup' guide will probably work fine. If it has wireless, enable WPA(2 (AES)) encryption.

  7. That doesn't make sense. Assuming your site uses exclusively relative links, it's up to your browser to add on the pre-fix. Unless your browser is been forwarded to your routers page, it should just use the domain as it's pre-fix ( the editor says: this sentence could be phrased with more technical accuracy).

Some routers don't apply port forwarding rules to requests that come form the LAN, but that does not appear to be the problem in this case. As a quick fix you can just add your domain to your hosts file and enter the internal IP address of the server.

  8. It would be interesting to see someone writing an exploit that could tell this function in NoScript to disable HTTPS.

Web pages can't alter NoScripts function. To that end, if some thing is on your computer that can alter the configuration of NoScript you are in far worse trouble than simply worrying if you are connection is over SSL.
