    I'll accommodate the new comers. I feel they just need to make the effort to learn English and adopt(be thankful to be here maybe). My tolerance wears thin when 2nd generation still failing to adopt! I'm happy to be in Australia and thankful this is my home. That said if a country were around that shared my values(which won't happen because my values comes from living in Australia) to a tee I'd be gone.

    time to chime in.

    Good on the government for filtering the people. Just making a few more "jobs".

    Lesser of two evil is bullshit. What you should want is you want a liberty(freedom) because if you don't believe in god it means that you want this life to be as good as possible. So don't get distracted by non-issues(global warming, gay marraige, day light savings, republic), so the governments can keep on lowering your quality and and standard of living. I feel it is irresponsible for our generation to simple ignore what our families have fought for and just piss it away because we are suckers for a bit of spin and a good hair cut.

    I feel government should work as such. If they build the infrastructure they keep it. Fuck off the lazy ass workers and make councils and employees more productive. Increase the power of the person rather than the persons(this includes employers unions!) so productivity can increase. Offer protection to local industry to allow that high standard of living. Government departments should not be always economically rationalised(it's not like they never pay there own wage anyway). They should do the research that business will not! Cut all aboriginal/cultural services, change translation services to learn to speak English. Put queue jumpers last! Fuck off this encouragement of multiculturalism it is flawed and never fucking works. Immigration should be used to control population instead of increase it. Dual citizens should not be allowed to vote on many things such as republic or anything that requires rewriting what is Australia as their interests are not only with this country. Flat tax. Do away with public health and put in place system that will fine or damage those who let people die. Free trade agreements are only to be very specific. Fund most/all schools equally. Legalise drugs. Make it so politicians can only serve so many years. Start 100+ year hardwood projects for the coming shortage of hardwood's. If ombudsman's and commissions fail at their jobs get rid of them as they are of no use! It only be fair they we have a defence force that is worth having. Offer limited tax breaks to couples living together. Offer decent tax breaks to parents and take them away from bad parents. Take away signifgant tax breaks from single parents who have opted for divorce. Get rid of SBS and only fund the ABC. Require all schools to teach the basics and allow parents to opt their kids out of subjects that may hinder their kids ability to learn. Schools which do not teach the basics cannot receive government funding and are not allowed to give high school cert. Schools caught teaching history that is blatantly incorrect such as Australia was never threatened during WW2 get funding CUT! All government funded education after school such as TAFE is to be on the hecs system and not subsidised. Pensions are to be stringently handed out and unemployment benefit is to be paid directly in food/clothing stamps and to billers after 6 months. Roads are to be solely government owned and operated. Police are to serve the people rather than the government. If you don't earn money you don't get to vote. Any leaders caught answering to those who are not citizens of this country are to be thrown out and their name to be put on a big wall in Canberra. Any leaders who seriously threaten this countries sovereignty are to be thrown out and named for history. Government which owns infrastructure has a responsibility to service it and service the people. All religions are to declare anything financial including donations. Religions caught failing to do so will be fined. People contracting for government will have to show they are not lining their pockets with money of tax payers if found to be unproductive the contract null and void. Allow citizens to defend themselves which out risking the lives of others. Anyone living in Australia has a access to phone power and internet(the government may have to subsidise industry to make this so). It is not the job of government to build profitable services like cable networks but rather services like roads and water pipelines.

    I'll stop there. That's just a list of thoughts. None are explained in detail however i feel it's a good basis on where I'm coming from.

    The Australia that means something to me doesnt exist. Pandering to minority lobby groups, policy development by weak willed politicians, terrible infrastructure and the general populous becoming more and more americanised makes me sick.

    Mnemonic the rebel flag is a symbol of a war for states rights. The people of the south fought for their state rights because they felt government was getting too big. They should have freed the slaves then gone to war so history was kinder to them.

    While i admit i have a Alabama state flag on the back of my ute and Tennessee titans(NFL) bumper sticker and a Tennessee state flag on the veranda(this is a good laugh). I just do it for a bit of fun.

    I think you will find it's multiculturalism that is not working in this country.

    yep this is going to be fun. Simply put there aint much you can do about it. Once apon a time a hacked modem used to work. I can garentee that this will no longer work.

    10GB is not very much but that's what you got. A squid proxy with youtube cacheing with help you a little. My suggestion is kick the habit of iptv and downloaded tv and just browse / download music on the 10GB.

    The reason isp's have to limit or charge by the GB is because they need to maintain their networks so if they offter a flat price unlimited service and users start to use more than what has been budgeted over time then they either need to increase prices or start capping. It would be unfair on the 95% of the users who don't take the service forgranted because of the 5% who used far too much and increase everyones price. It sucks because as one of the 5% one probably could not foresee this coming. However, with data capping and charging per GB isp's won't need to start charging content providers money(net neutrality?).

    It's likley they will release higher GB plans soon because of the capping.

    Things you could do to possiblly improve things for yourself in the next few years. Get more people onto the ISP to increase downward pressure.

    good news, this year is an election year.

    It is but no one will learn the lesson(they never learn, always getting conned by deceitful mobs). They will just protest vote greens and something dumb like that(pirate party?) who preference socialism anyway.

    I'd do a VPN as suggested. However, i wouldn't worry too much about the block list. It's not like a socialist government would lie to you and block more than just child porn. After it works well in socialist china.

    i suggest watching hackers 1 2 and 3. Also putting LED fans in your case. The following are must haves. Linux, BitTorrent and firefox! As for hardware. You can't have a plain case, you'll get laughed at while hacking at LAN's. Also pick a side either AMD or Intel and stick with it. Because much like religion once your in you've gotta go with what you now believe no matter what anyone says.

    29728148.jpg This was taken just now it's about 20degress C room temp because it's night and i haven't been gaming just chatting.

    So i don't have sli everything in the PC is quite low end. the PSU runs pretyt hot which i assume does not help much. One GPU is onboard and the other is a 8500GT hybird SLI.

    It's pretty much been like this since new(1 and a bit years). But the noise is annoying me. I'm not real sure what to do here. My mate reckons new case but i feel that may be too much money. The fans are in a front to back formation.

    I think if i were to have a hole in the top. a fan infront of the warmer hdd. buy some small fan to put in a slot at the back so the gPU can be cooler and hoepfully the MB and other GPU cool done because of the hole in the top.

    I'm just turning it off at night for now. however every now and then i want to DL a torrent

    I disagree with shit-loads of party policy but at the end of the day I may have voted them in so I wear the responsibility unless I'm prepared to change my stance and act.

    The Rudd governments actions in parliament house should be a good idea of what is to come for the internet.

    The anti-electioneering rules in the printing and communication allowance regulations prevent Members and Senators, including minor party members and independents from printing and posting material that ‘disparages or denigrates’ any political party. The rules apply to newsletters, correspondence between all members of Parliament and individual constituents and even copies of Hansard, the official record of Parliament, where the Government or its policies are criticised.

    To ensure that correspondence complies with the new rules one is required to submit all material to the Department of Finance and Deregulation for vetting. Officials at the Department of Finance and Deregulation have interpreted the new rules to mean that any strong criticism of the Labor Government will be deemed unacceptable and thus not within the allowance. Words such as ‘mismanagement’, ‘reckless’, ‘irresponsible’ are banned from use.

    Of course Government Ministers have the resources of entire departments to publish material critical of the Opposition and will not need to use the allowance, circumventing the new rules.

    I could take a guess at what the liberals would have done after the election. They would have proceeded with proposals and possible a trial. It would cause some interesting uproar with freedom lovers in the party(hard "right"?) and it would have probably been optional from the start to finish. This is merely a guess and I'd probably not rely on it when you go to vote.

    I, personally think Rudd's filter will not slow down the internet if it works off a system of blacklisting websites rather than just web pages.

    I hope people understand how the ALP is set-up. It does not encourage voice or freedom within its own party, so why would it allow the people the same freedom?

    Parties like the pirate party, greens and alp will essentially be a vote for less freedom. This is simply due to their likely preferences and principles of the parties.

    I'd like to finish with this. History is one of the safest things for one to judge. So I'd encourage all to look at history when it's time to vote. I'd also like people to look at history before they go on and on about climate change.

    The ALP has a strong history of making government bigger and costing jobs through failed IR reform, sending this country into the dark ages via debt. The liberal party has a strong history of standards of living increases, lower taxes and until Howard trying to keep government small(Howard boosted public service far too much).

    If I have not convinced you for federal politics look at your own state.

    This is an important bit of my whole post! Every moment bad governments have your country or state in debt because of waste or failure, that's a moment the next responsible government can't do something because they have no money.

    When you have no more freedoms, don't come crying to me. I'll be leading the resistance and won't have time for those who do not respect freedom.

    FYI Obama's popularity is plummeting because people have finally woken up. Kevin Rudd shares the same ideologies as Obama it would appear.

    As I was saying earlier today to someone. A quick solution would be to make voting optional so then only those who read would show up to vote. I personally would struggle to support that because I really like the THOUGHT of people being involved. It appears there are many people who don't want to be involved and are suckers for deception.
