  1. Hi all!

    I was wondering if anyone had set up PFSense vlans successfully. I followed a guide online but for some reason DHCP never dished out IP addresses and I only got a loopback address.

    The machine I am using has 4 NICs and I want to setup two vlans. I previously set it up using the LAN port rather than WAN and connected it to my linksys WAG120N Modem/Router.

    What I want to do is setup two vlans with internet access with dhcp running off the pfsense box and disable dhcp from the wag120n. Its proving harder than I first thought!

  2. hey, thanks for that - i was testing earlier and came across the issues with vmware and the rtl8187 chipset. i found the first script online and it worked a treat, its just a shame I have to run it whenever i run the vm.

    with regards to the second bit - what would be worse case scenario? im only asking as you've said, if it all goes wrong...

    I dont see any harm in trying but just want to know what could happen. From what Im reading the script will change the tx power (thus a stronger signal but more work on the wifi adapter) and spoofs the MAC on the device also. Am I correct?

    Cheers

  3. Hi Jarmo,

    I tried that but I still get the same error. I tried a search with the error but havent been able to find anything as of yet, though I am still looking. I have attached a screen shot and the error that shows.

    Result Code:

    E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057)

    Component:

    HostUSBDevice

    Interface:

    IHostUSBDevice {173b4b44-d268-4334-a00d-b6521c9a740a}

    Callee:

    IConsole {1968b7d3-e3bf-4ceb-99e0-cb7c913317bb}

    Also, Im not sure why the device is showing up with that name... But its definately the Alfa as there are no other USB devices or Virtual USB devices attached

  4. Hi all, im struggling to get my Alfa AWUSO36H to my BT5 Guest VM from a W7 Host.

    I've created the filter and installed Guest Additions aswell as the latest extension pack and it doesnt go over automatically. I've tried to manually place it over and I get an error that it Failed to Attach... Busy with Previous Request.

    Any ideas?

  5. Hi all,

    Just had a little issue - I was under the assumption that you could SCP to the pineapple out of the box. Is this the case? Or do I need to install/enable anything before I can SCP to the box?

    I am able to SSH properly.

    When I put the incorrect password into SCP it shows up as Access Denied but with the correct credentials i get the following Cannot initialize SFTP protocol. Is the host running a SFTP server?

    Im thinking permissions or something isnt enabled?

  6. I haven't tried yet hfam but I would assume its similar to what I listed earlier to deauth the client using bssid and mac.

    Mr P - Is it actually possible to deauth all machines in the vicinity using the pineapple? I had assumed not and that it would need to be done using authwatch, which I can't find nor figure out lol

  7. I was also wondering how that is used? I'm probably being rather thick here, but it only has one input.

    In other words, what is that field asking for? the SSID? The MAC addy of the client you wish to deauth?

    I can't seem to find enough relevant info as to how we use the button with only one variable to input, and how that would work...again, sorry if it sounds stupid.

    Would you mind giving a brief explanation as to how that deauth button works? I'd sure appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    I agree. If you don't mind, would you be able to run through it with us?

  8. Hi All, So I've got my Pineapple up and running and was wondering how I would go about trying to get some clients to associate with my AP fast. I remember vaguely that there was a segment on AuthWatch a while back (did a search on the forum but couldnt find a confirmed code, just one that someone was having issues with) - and was wondering where I could get the script. As far as I remember, it looks for a deauth packet and then broadcasts it. How does this work? Im not sure how you would broadcast a packet for all devices but can deauth a single device using aireplay-ng --deauth 1 -a XX:XX:XX:XX:XX -c XX:XX:XX:XX:XX mon0

    Thanks for your help!

  9. Hey,

    I aborted and it didn't work. So I started thinking, as I'm reflashing surely I need to be on the same scope as what was initially assigned so I changed from 192.168.1.100 to 172.16.42.100 and it started doing its thing!

    It booted up and I managed to open up the UI and connected to it wirelessly also! Thanks for your help!
