  1. I hate using somebody's computer that doesn't have firefox (with at least adblock plus).

You get all these random popups and flash ads.. Drives me mental.

..Especially if you are from some 3rd world shit hole.

The '3rd world' may be backwards, but no need to call it a shit hole. There are honest people who live there too..

  2. ...

As for the flashing idea, I sort of expect people who choose to manually flash their phones to be able to research it themselves given the potential for ending up with a brick, but I guess a walkthrough isn't necessarily a bad thing. Plenty of warnings might be wise.

    ...

In my experience, flashing ROMs varies with each model, (I had a XDA II, XDA Mini S, XDA Orbit, HTC Diamond over the years) and I never bricked any of them. I suppose if you follow the guides on the xda-developers forum you should be ok.

I should point out that I haven't been on those boards for a while due to the credit crunch.

I don't have a windows mobile phone anymore, and I'm stuck with this piece of crap:

  3. I've never played C&C Generals, even though I have it..

Halo Combat Evolved is just awesome! Anyone up for a quick CTF in the old 'gulch?? :D

    Sorry, never played GT5

    My favs:

Strategy: C&C Red Alert 3 (and Uprising)

    Action: Descent 3

Sim: Flightgear (M$ Flight Sim may be better, but Flightgear is free..)

    All time: GTA IV

  4. May I ask why you dislike GoDaddy? I use them a lot for domain registration and email relay but have never hosted any websites with them (I've been thinking about using them for up coming projects)

I had a .co.uk domain that had one month left, and godaddy wouldn't let me transfer it to another registrar. I didn't see there being any point in ringing them up or emailing them, as the whole purpose of an account control panel is so the customer has control over everything. Obviously not in my case.

In the end I cancelled the domain through Nominet (for UK domains) and got it again from gandi.net, where I used a free voucher.

  5. I like to tinker about with different distros of linux, but still haven't found a decent one to stick to..

I did use Mandrake years ago, (I think it's called Mandriva now?) but it was Ubuntu that started me off.

If you like configuring and have lots of spare time to learn, then it's ok I guess, but if you like everything out of the box then Windows 95 xp or 7 are fine.
