I am trying to crack a password with john the ripper but it gives me this error Unknown ciphertext format name requested and 0 password hashes cracked, 2 left i tried uninstalling and re installing but it did not work john --wordlist=[path to wordlist] [path to file] john --format=[format] --wordlist=[path to wordlist] [path to file]
