I have my zipit up and running aliosa27's userland but now I have no idea how to connect it to my WEP secured wifi network. I went through the open network steps in episode 615 but when I tried to install pidgin, as a test, it went through the step and asked me if I was ok with using the needed space, but after I entered the yes command it fails to fetch the urls and fails the download. any help is welcome!

For the zipit z2 linux hack, I have a 8gb sd card, but im not sure if the hack is able to handle that, mostly due to the fact that there are only a 1g disk image and a 2g image.

I just got a zipit z2 with a 8gb sd card, and now I have no idea where to start. I have seen the guide on hunterdavis.com, and the videos made by hak5 but im not sure which one to use. If anyone can please advise me it would be great. My current skill level is NOOB! On a ubuntu 9.10 linux laptop. Which guide do you guys think would be most helpful and understandable for me? For the end result I would like to have rootnexus's new userland for simplicity, but again im not sure how or if I must have aliosa27's userland first. Any and all help is appreciated.

I personally just finished hackintoshing my sony vaio using mechdrews netbook guide, and it was a pain!!! after numerous hardware failures and trouble getting the flash drive to mount again after osx was installed to update it, i finally finished and going from vista to osx was awsome for me it was completely worth it.

Ok I just got a new zipit Z2 with an 8GB sdcard. I have NO clue where to start, can anyone give me a link to a step by step guide (noob steps not advanced steps) please. Im completely new to unlocking devices and so far the extent of my ability is a sony vaio hackintosh. any help is much appreciated.

Hi i just watched all the videos for the zipit hack/mod and ordered a zipit z1 for really cheap, but when i continued to rewatch the videos i saw that every zipit used were Z2's when i ordered a Z1. Is it possible to do the hack/mod/unlock with the Z1 model?
