  1. ok thanks very much. the info you gave me was enough for me to find something on Google for others who may want to know to get your netgear modem/router in to bridging mode you must go to a hidden address. 192.168.0.1/mode.htm
  2. Thanks Sparda. In the Netgear settings there is no selection for bridging. Do i just leave it blank then instead? MGB

I recently bought a Linksys WRT54GL and flashed it with the DD-WRT firmware. though now i am having a slight problem setting up my Internet. am presenly using a Netgear DG834G (ADSL2 Modem router) for my PPPoA Internet connection. i would like the Netgear box to pass my Internet connection on to the Linksys Internet port. i know the problem is with my sketchy understanding. Do i set up my Netgear box with DHCP? What settings should i put on the Linksys box for the internet connection. Netgear ip. 192.168.0.1 Linksys ip 192.168.0.2 (I think)

  5. i don't mean to be a total noob but i am still learning Linux. i wanted to try and run the Folding at home software FAH504-Linux.exe on my slug but i just get an error #./FAH504-Linux.exe: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected what am i doing wrong.
  6. i live in a part of the uk. Guernsey, a part of the channel islands near france. not quite english and not quite french but still part of the UK but not member of the goverment. like bermuda or gibraltar. somewhere in-between. but nobody speaks french here.

    linux

    hiya i am looking at installing a version of linux. i havent used it before but i have been reading around on the net for info and i am not sure where to start. i was thinking of installing ubuntu. can anyone recomend any books. or any good information sites.
