  1. My experimental xp has a wireless unsecured network saved on the top of the list (I guess that means to which network it will connect if he finds a couple familiar). There is also an option where it says "connect even if it is not broadcasting" (or something similar). this option is turned off (Why would anyone enable that option?). I dont remember an "always connect to this unsecure network" option, but I will look at it again tomorrow and post. Thanks for your replies

  2. Hello, I just found some time to experiment with the pineapple... I have purchased the second version and followed this guide ( http://karmetasploit.com/archives/55 ) to configure it. Everything works fine (it has internet connection when a client connects to it), but in the client (xp) do not show up the wireless access points it has saved (with no encryption). In other words, it does not do, what its main feature should be. Can enybody help? Thanks in adnvance

    (Sorry for my bad English)

  3. Yes it works when the victim has as a favorite an unencrypted network, but wouldn't it be great if this would also work with encrypted wlans? the jasager could generate 'fake' access points with all encryption method. So it would for example have 4 'fake' access points with the same ssid but with different encryptions (unencrypted, wep, wpa, wpa2) so that the victim could connect to the jasager even if his favorites are encrypted ones.

  4. I did not connect it to the internet,I followed darens steps untill the flushing.... It does show:

    Reading image file J:\Fon Plus\Jasager 1.0\openwrt-atheros-root.squashfs with 2359296 bytes, rounded to 0x00240000

    Reading image file J:\Fon Plus\Jasager 1.0\openwrt-atheros-vmlinux.lzma with 720896 bytes, rounded to 0x000b0000

  6. Hi, I just bought a fon ( i know.. I am a late buyer :) )..

    Its the fon 2100

Firmware: 0.7.0 r3 (It is below 0.7.1 r1, ist it??)

    I followed the guide: http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Fon_Jasager_Install.

But after I have done step 11 I try to connect the fon with my pc via ethernet, but the ip that shows up is

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

    Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.36.225

    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0

    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0

Why is the ip 169.254.36.225?? I tested it with my laptop too.. (windows7 and xp).. the same... Is is ok, is it wrong.. When I saw the ip I just went WT***??

Can enyone help me plz?? :)
