Thanks, Don't know why and I didn't do anything differently, but this morning the new version loaded correctly; however, it returns the following error when I start it (the Standalone Client) or press the play button.
"Esoteric error while authenticating:
org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x10) was found in the element content of the document."

FOLLOW UP: I had to re-register my account in the Standalone Client and create new stations. In the past when I've upgraded versions these items were carried forward but not this time. No biggie, all is working well now!

Are you sure you are downloading/running the new exe properly? I've just checked the uploaded version, and it is dated 10/7. You might have duplicates or something in your download dir.

Thanks for the quick update, however when I d/l from here or the website directly I still get the old 9/24/10 version. Where is the new version posted?

Thanks, found it. I'll post it if the problem comes back. Looking at what it logged last night, there were lots of "buffer underflow" entries.

Today it seems to be working fine. Perhaps Pandora was having a problem last night as their site was v-e-r-y slow. For future reference though, and please excuse my ignorance, how do I capture the log for the standalone client? I'm not using any proxies.

Having a problem with the standalone client starting a few days ago. 2 problems actually; first, when starting the client I often get "Failed to execute XMLRPC | Failed to get stations" and clicking play will solve that. Just since yesterday I also find a stuttering after the first 10 seconds or so of a song and/or buffering takes a very long time or just stalls completely. Maybe Pandora has changed something? Nothing changed on my end - running XP,SP3 w/broadband.

Starting tonight (4/18/10) I get "Pandora's protocol version has incremented" when starting the Pandora client. I upgraded to the newest version as instructed and still get the same error. Solutions?

Starting a couple of days ago I can't connect to Pandora using the standalone client. Here's what gets logged when I try. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, I didn't actually find that option under the Standalone Client's Advanced menu but (I only run the client) I was offered a "Register" option in the drop down which went away after I logged in again. It's working perfectly now. Thanks again for your help.
