stickyrice
I'll be taking a cruise next week. They offer wifi, charged per device. I'd like to use my Pineapple (mark V) to share that single connection to all of my devices. I assume that getting online will require passing through a captive portal to make payment / accept T&Cs etc. I have in mind that I could use my laptop to make the connection, then change the MAC address on the Pineapple to match that of my Mac, thus it being authorised for the connection and then share it via an AP. But perhaps that won't work if my laptopĀ and Pineapple share the same MAC address (perhaps I need to also then change my laptops MAC address?). Clearly a bit a newb. Some pointers appreciated :)
Mr-Protocol
Have the Pineapple connect to the access point, and your devices to the pineapple. Then if you click through the captive portal on one of your devices, they should all be covered because the gateway is the pineapple, and only the Pineapple MAC will be recognized by their network.
