my aim is to extend the standard range of the tetra pineapple. Target is on a specific direction.
I have read the specifications of the TETRA:
“Wireless: Atheros AR9344 + Atheros AR9580, both IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n with quad integrated skybridge amplifiers and included 5 dBi antenna for a high 29 dBm gain EIRP Ports: (4) SMA Antenna, RJ45 Fast Ethernet, Ethernet over USB, Serial over USB, USB 2.0 Host, 12V/2A DC Power”
1) Would two of these antennas extend the range of the TETRA directional significantly? Of course I would replace the two wlan1 antennas (the two on the right side when the front side of the TETRA is facing you).

If I got it right higher dBi most of the time leads to higher dBm and therefore extended range. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.
