Thanks for posting these links, I really enjoyed watching these, nice to see the old power glove out again, it'll never die.
I know the second video isn't an entirely new concept but that stuff really takes a lot of time and effort, then probably more skill than most the bands/artists in the charts at the moment have.

I don't suggest doing anything to a school network with anyone else in the room. or for that matter, at all.

Hm, that's interesting. I'm going to print out that PDF and read it later. I still think parliament says whatever they think people want at that time.
In theory though how is a software patent different to a hardware patent? Isn't the theory, concept and code involved in software able to be just as innovative and need of protection as is hardware?

You have to love the ScreenSaver guys for playing along with it, the best bit was the list of packer programs and then the illegal hacker operating system: "Lunix" *shifty eyes*

I saw a remote for your car door locks and want that in my case walk into room push remote button and computer starts up.... and it all cheap. :P
Seriously?! I'm so going to do that, you walk in the door to get home, press your key chain... here a beep and know your PC's getting ready for you. Make a cup of tea, head up and it's all waiting for you =)
Nothing beats home made innovation!

Here, here!

It's just what the title says digip, a 'best of' DVD. It doesn't have any complete episodes on at all, it has the best segments and sketches then on top they throw in some extras. There's a stage tour and a few interviews and the menus are clean and nice.

I think lights, windows and stuff look awesome but they aren't a requirement. They are basically for people who love their machines, just like car guys add gigantic stereo systems and body kits to their car we can do the same to our machines. Then again, lights you buy pre-made from stores and just clip on aren't cool either, home made for the win.
You don't have to be a modder to be a pro gamer.

The Wii is my favourite console out there at the modem for the sheer individuality and fun of the wiimote. I'm not a main stream gamer and I play whatever comes out regardless of the media attention it gets but I love the Wii so much. If you have friend and family who can come around and play it enters a whole new realm of entertainment too. I haven't put it down yet.
I just wish they would put in a profile system like X-Box's GamerTag system for us to use and abuse. If for no other reason check out the hack with the wiimote in the latest episode (second beta live release.)
Try one at the store and see if you like it or not first.

That thing is awesome, I got;
7/10 - "Pretty good; it seems you know your JavaBeans from your fava beans, your slashers from your slashdotters."
The easiest way to go about it is just guess..

I love the light, community based attitude that the live shows have taken on.
Unfortunately I've never been able to catch the live feeds of the show because of my time constraints but I think it's awesome what you guys are trying to do with the live-to-tape strategy, especially if I think back to what you talked about on the DVD interview segment.
I found a lot of the Skype calls and their problems embarrassing in the first live beta but that whole system seems to have been improved with this episode, kudos to you for doing live calls, it's so easy way to make yourself look stupid live with unscripted user calls.
The feedback (and that weird buzzy noise) at the start sucked but that was to be expected since you just moved place. If you keep the ad's as funny as the godaddy one in the middle then nobody should complain either! That was 'lol' funny XD I'm getting myself a domain soon and I'm using GoDaddy for sure now.
The WiiMote hack was awesome, I'm going out to get a Bluetooth adapter for my pc asap right. That thing looked awesome, the true low budget hackling way to hack together a wireless home media centre.
I hope we get some more hardcore hacks from Wess soon though, with the solder, the wires and the hardware hacking, software is all nice but you have to get your hands dirty sometimes. I want more moding like the arcade centre back in season one.
Keep it up guys, love the show!

- Here's a question, why is the site style sheet using a blue background and the forum using a white background and why are the margins so mixed around between the two? I have OCD and I'm a web programmer so don't hurt me for asking!
I've gone to the extent of using the Greasemonkey extension to Firefox to change them around myself but I was just wondering, can anybody explain the reason the homepage has a blue background and the forums have a white one?

I've only just joined the community so forgive me if this has already been discussed (a quick three query search didn't turn anything up.)
I was wondering if there was a possibility of torrenting out DVD quality (or at least the best quality you have from DV Tapes) to the community? I would love to have Hak.5 on DVD's just to put in a custom DVD sleeve and stick on my shelf alongside my games and stuff. I just can't bring myself to burn low quality net releases.
Is there a possibility of higher quality torrents or even cheap home-burnt DVD/CD's in the future? (I'm totally willing to pay $10 to get something higher quality mailed to my door.)
Just a random question but I just watched the interview segment of the 'best of' DVD and it made me think, if you want some extra revenue then do a CD/DVD store for those few out there that want some higher quality stuff.
Pixelation = Nasssty =)

I've never really used real tones on my phone even though it has that option since I could never find anything good for it. I love this idea but I still think the theme tune for the first season was the best so I'm off to go rip the tune from season one, episode one and stick that on my phone.
Great idea, good package =)

Question: How much did you have to drink before you did this?
It looked horrific when you were shaving your heads... then when you finished, you know, it wasn't all that bad! I kinda like the new trend Britney set o.O;

Excellent point lunex, I never usually run on multi-user systems so this slipped my mind.

If you use the reg files Bigjimbo suggested it'll have the effect of turning on and off the 'show hidden files' option. Just use which registry file you want based upon which action you wish to take. To neaten things up I would suggest putting the .reg files in a folder like C:batch and making neat shortcuts to them on your desktop or quick link toolbar.

For me this has been the best episode in a very long time!
I'm glad to see the firm organised content coming back, especially the trivia, the polls and lan party sections, not to mention you changed to the awesome transition effects. The Dream Host ad was kind of cool, makes me miss the old MicroShaft and similar sketches (we want those back!) I'm still missing the hardware mods, off-set hacks and more in-depth hardcore hacks though.
Oh and one thing I hated about live episodes has been ridden of - BLOOPERS ARE BACK!
I'm all for live-to-tape segments but live broadcasts... meh.
