well if you just want to boost the signal on your lan then u can put a cantenna/multiple on your WAP/router. Just point them to the areas of low signal (i did this...EXCELLENT. You could also buy a signal booster.
But if you are talking about just being out and about (wardriving??). One of the only good (cheap) options is getting a PCMIA card with an external (modded or stock) connection and a cantenna. You can also get a multi-directional external on your card to get a lowpower but broader signal search.

crazy, CRAZY episode. it was long enough to finish off a whole pot of coffee. Damn. I cant wait till the DVD.iso comes out. Deffiently burning like 4 copies. Kinda pissed when I found out no more hak.5 for like 2-3 months. I wish you guys realease episodes a lil more often.

NT Crack works wounders. Deffiently one of the best programs. I found out it from my CCNA teacher accually and have been using it for a while. Great for command line people.
The next episodes you guys should cover alot more media stuff and crazy mods.

well, i cant really relate on that level of my school not know about things like Linux, bittorrent, ect. This is becuase i go to a school that is all about tech. I am currently a sophmore and am in a Red Hat linux class, and finishing my CCNA, and A+ certs. Most of the new stuff I find out about is from trolling vidcasts like this (engadget, hak5, dl.tv,ect) and alot from my two teachers. I like that everyone in my class has used or has a box dedicated to linux.
(a side note...every computer in my class has Red Hat, WinXPpro, and Knoppix(courtesy of me) on it.

yea i have already attempted this already. It is harder then it sounds. I destroyed like 6 cables and I am on my last couple sets. If someone does this correctly post pics. (i wanna see how the shrink wrap looks)

that would be cool....it could show how many people accually know about certain things. You could also do simpler ideas like the Firefox vs. Internet Explorer, or Win XP, Mac, linux, other.

Alcohol 120% is the best. None of the flashiness of Nero, or the bloated size. No nobs, or animations. Strait up burning. I only do iso burns and large file data disks. As far as I know there is no music disk creation or anything of that sort. I still love Alcohol 120 over alot of programs.

The video broadcasting in my house over the coax. I can stream all my DVD isos and mp3s to anywere in my house.....The only problem is that the computer i am using is slow (old box) and i need a easier OS/progam that is operated by keyboard only (i know that u can just use keyboard shortcuts but i have computer dumb people using it too). I have heard of Freevo but i havent installed it yet. What is a good soultion to my problem?

apple has the potential to make a good product. yes they look sexy as hell.....buuttt they are controlling assholes and because of the price they are unobtainable by reasonable standards. Oh yea and by the way they are unaware that open-source runs everything that is good (i got a ipod classic and it no longer supports Podzilla).
