[Pinapple and...]

Its the first time ive come across the Pineapple today and will be getting one in the near future, just need the funds :)

 

My question is that what else would I need to be able to do something like

'RollJam' or would the android app be sufficient? 

Sorry if it seems like a noob question it is because it is :)

and would I also be able to use that to find/intercept the frequency for a 'rising bollard' (see pic below for example).
