Are you sure you followed that video? the lights are supposed to flash off and on after flashing they go from red blue amber and the green stays on and then others the same light pattern until you login to the pineapple for the first time. That's why i said listen to that video however if your lights are not flashing off and on fast in a row and they are basically starting as green and then blue and then red and then gos out back to blue and red that isn't a good sign that normally happens when its bricked. I strongly recommend you listen to that video and make sure what you're doing is correct if everything is correct might have a bad pineapple but i highly recommend you listen closely to that video.
I've followed closely. After the reboot happens, the lights cycle, but not as they once did when I had this working. While plugged in via eth0, the link flaps as the lights cycle every 10 seconds or so. Would a video help? Beginning to feel as if this could be hardware.

If you format your sd card nothing will be on it.
until you start installing infusions on it
Don't quote me on this but i believe the factory firmware if im not mistaken is what you'd find on the sd card when doing a first install of the pineapple when you get it.
Hmm that doesn't sound good then, all seems to go smoothly when doing a recovery and using the "special" recovery factory firmware (factory-1.2.0), but as soon as I flip the DIPS back to the normal all-upward settings and reboot, the device appears to continually cycle as it boots.

Uhh! sounds bricked to me unless you got a defective pineapple. I'd reflash the factory firmware and again also remove the SD card and see what happens. Normally i only seen this happen when the pineapple is bricked.
Try again factory flashing don't upgrade.
If all the lights are going in a fast pattern your supposed to access 172.16.42.1:1471 to configure the setup.
Also might try following this video to make sure you're doing it right.
Thanks for the reply.
Looks like I've been following the proper steps, I guess my question is once I've restored to factory firmware, what should be on my new SD Card?

What files do I need on the SD card, and do I need an MD5 on the SD as well?

Typo, I meant to say recovery mode by right-most DIP down, not up.

Hi Folks,
I'm having some trouble booting my MK5.
When I power it up, I get a green LED (which indcaites power), followed by a solid red, then a flashing blue. The blue LED flashes for ~10 seconds, and then all LEDS turn on, and this cycle starts over.
I've tried going into recovery mode (right-most DIP up), and have uploaded the unbricking image. Once I reboot, the same problem occurs as before.
I've tried look at the microSD shipped with the MK V, but my computer cannot read it - perhapse it is corrupt. I have another 2GB MicroSD card which I have formatted as FAT and have placed the firmware "Upgrade-2.0.3.bin" on it. (From the downloads page)... but the same issue keeps happening.
I have a feeling my issue is with the firmware and the SD Card, any advice?

Zara - Thanks for taking the time to work this through today - after a lot of messing around, while making a video of the LEDs, I used a DC PSU from a older raspberry pi project, and discovered all to boot perfectly. My problem appears to be a bad power supply.
Thanks again!
