  1. If you can browse the internet, it's probably already set. On your pineapple do a traceroute either via ssh or the network tools module to 192.168.1.1

Pardon me for my noob-ness, but what are the commands for ssh to do this? I don't access to the module, as I haven't been able to connect to the Pineapple Bar yet.

I did some googleing, and this is what the traceroute came back with.

    root@Pineapple:~# traceroute 192.168.1.1
traceroute to 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1), 30 hops max, 38 byte packets
    1 172.16.42.42 (172.16.42.42) 0.394 ms * 0.713 ms
    2 * * *
    3 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 2.200 ms 1.241 ms 3.064 ms
  2. Does the laptop have internet? it appears that the wifi card connected to your laptop does not have a default gateway. It should probably be set to 192.168.1.1

It does have internet, I can browse on it just fine. How would I go about setting that?

  3. Hey guys, I'm running a 3.0 Mark IV and I haven't been able to get my ICS to work with my Windows 8 Laptop. Here are my steps.

    1) Connect Ethernet cable to pineapple PoE/LAN port and PC ethernet port.

    2)Connect USB power cable

    3) Enable network sharing on PC's Wifi connection, directing it at the ethernet port.

    4) Go to ehternet port's IPv4 settings change IP to 172.16.42.42, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, and DNS to 8.8.8.8

Are there any other steps that I have to do? I can't figure out why this isnt working.

    Thanks!
