Just prepare yourself for some video that rather pales in comparison to their current offering. There's a reason they dedicated a few shows on the evolution of their set.

Yeah, I noticed that the video was shot with a rotary phone... (I have no idea how old some of ya'll are, so if you don't get the reference...)

but even in 3x4 resolution and 8 track tape sound quality, the first episodes were still pretty entertaining.

I was able to just watch the shows while I worked in the background so I wouldn't recommend watching them with a pen and paper taking notes the whole time :) but that's just IMO.

Yeah, that was basically the idea. I'm teaching myself C++ in y spare time, and since I'm at the computer anyway, I figured I'd have a video stream playing in the background

I'm wanting to learn what I can about the various disciplines of hacking, so I wanted to go through them to find useful bits that I can research farther. I just didn't want to go through and spend three or four hours researching something I found interesting only to see that whatever they used to accomplish the end goal didn't work because x program update or x technology rendered it unable to work anymore...

I am about to go back and start watching hak5 from the beginning. I would assume that most of the topics shown in the first couple of seasons would be fairly outdated, so what season should I start on to find topics that are still mostly relevant?
