    I guess I don't know enough about this 'magic number.'  I saw a bad CRC message on post or boot that I thought might be related but I was told that's normal.  Is there a way to completely format this without making it a bring and needing to jtag it?  Maybe erase everything then rebuild before rebooting?

    I found the driver for the UART, I have all my settings and connections as the instructions say but, when I open puTTY the screen comes up, I plug in the pineapple and instead of U Boot I get nothing, nothing happens? I have the ports and pins correctly set, computer IP is 192.168.2.11. is there a specific IP the pineapple shouls be set to, does that matter at this point?

    Did the pineapple ever work?

    What OS are you running?

    How many wired interfaces?

    Static or Dynamic IPS?

    New world, is there any need for the pineapple in your setup? Wouldn't it be cleaner to have your pi pump out the hotspot and do away with the pineapple. pwnstar is a great script to start up the access point and sniffers/ssl strip all from the rasberrypi.

    I actually have a Raspberry Pi coming tomorrow (Hopefully) and I plan to do almost the same setup. Though I agree that alot can be done with the Rasperry Pi, both it and the Pineapple have some hardware limitations. Also in combining them you don't eliminate a single point of failure but you do give yourself multiple means of access so you can diag if needbe.

    Again, I haven't yet received my Pi and my opinion may change after it is setup.
