[Help With Wake On Lan]

no i send the magic packet to wake on lan which it does but inorder to get realvnc and the screen i have connected to the laptop to show a picture i have to move the mouse or press a button before the display wakes up and allows real vnc to connect again

hello all hak5 staff / members / hosts

i have a hp compaq nc6320 that i want to use as a project

system running windows xp sp2

my question is i have wake on lan enabled and it works i use a program called mc-wol and it wakes up my laptop

but heres the problem i have to actually use the laptop keyboard to wake up the display...

i cannot seem to find out why i cannot get the display to wake up without a key press / mouse movement / mouse key press

i use real vnc to see the screen cause the laptops screen is dead well 25-45% dead cause of a major crack in it

so is there anybody out there that might be able to help me
