Quite interesting, but my mini-ITX board has no Parallel Port... we're wayyyy into the future.. when reading such old posts.. ;-)

[Picture Frame Server Mod]

Ok, here it goes.

I have everything I need for the Picture Frame server. Even Proxmox is already set up. I have a similar board like Darren used with a serial port.

Now, I want to put in some LED stripes. Preferrably multi-color.

Which LEDs should I get, and HOW do I get to control them? It's easy to get the system load into a single number I could then send to LEDs, but has anyone have a clue where to point me, where I could get something for USB OR Serial, so I can send that signal?
