  1. First I know this topic has been discussed in the past, so post mongers find some place else to troll...

I was wondering with the start of a new season if you guys could finally make some hats, and have jinx do a refill on all the t-shirts that are out of stock. I would really like a hak.5 hat possibly blue or black, oh and please don't make the logo to huge like some companies do. Maybe more like the digg hats, or something a little larger.

  2. Everyone's not going to be happy with every episode, we all have different tastes. To me the show is damn good, and the cast does a great job of putting it together. Not to mention they actually take the time out to talk to their fans and debate with them just like this. How many F'in shows do that?

Hell for all the complainers out there, put your "talent" where mouth is & come up with a better show. It is easier to complain then do something about it.

  3. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get (*preferrably cheap*) RF spectrum Analyzer / Detector or how to build one. A friend of mine who lives in an apartment building is experiencing dropping like crazy from their wifi. The router when tested elsewhere works fine.

I am beginning to think someone is "polluting" the RF air waves with a N router. Since it costs like $100+ to get a N card to even see this, I thought I would invest in an RF spectum analyzer instead, as it could have more uses down the line. I was looking more for one that can hook into my laptop, that way I can save the output, and get a visual for what is going on.

I saw these varieties on Ebay, but I am not sure how effective they are:

    USB Spectrum Analyzer

    PMCIA Spectrum Analyzer

  4. Not in my expirence, I spoke to a girl who was in the UK and she had a engineer at my house in less than 24 hours. Which is cool considering my laptop had been dropped at a party. And anyway, the guys on the end of the phone in India are not dumb, its just a language barrier, if you take your time and don't act like an ignorant racist hick they're really helpful.

(and this is coming from someone who has had his job outsourced to India twice)

If you are in fact in the UK, as your profile shows, then it would make sense that you spoke to someone in the UK. Also I would assume you are more use to hearing people with a myriad of accents, as the UK is more diversified then the US, especially where I am presently living.

I have a had alot of horrible experience with Dell's & Microsoft's India outsourcing. Most of it has been due to poor line quality though, and they should really set up a skype or higher quality service.

In relation to the actual customer service help, I have run into a couple who were very helpful, especially from Dell; but I had a bad experience with Microsoft. I had a Genuine Advantage problem on a Sony laptop I bought from bestbuy. Bestbuy nor sony would handle it as they said it was a Microshaft problem, and I litterally spent 50 minutes on the phone to India; only to have the lady I spoke to tell me I could not speak to her supervisor... and there was nothing she could do about it.

P.S. - The name joke thing was not meant as racist, but comical at the simple Anglo Saxon names they normally have them adopt...

  5. At least with Dell they have a complaints department who are hired to be shouted at.

Yeah except you can't understand a damn thing they are saying to you. "Hello my name is GHRUNTYLKAQWNE, I mean... Bob."

XPS 700 do have alot of expandability inside, but the case design sucks.... I wish there was company that sold sweet half barebones (Case, Board, Processor, & Liquid Cooling) Warrantied.

  6. Right Dell isn't a bad choice, however they don't have what I need - I need a gaming / media rig: and to be honest their cases suck... I understand they can't look outrageous because they have to sell to corporate/educational use, but do they have to make such bland boxes that are hard and tight to upgrade. ie. have to pull out other parts to pull out one hard drive?

  7. I wouldn't mind building it myself, but if there is a problem down the line I have to shell out of my own pocket. I normally get a 3 year warrenty, and each time it has more then paid for itself. E.G. - Motherboard gone bad, hard drives die, LCD's die out, Power Supply death.

I found this site but I don't know how reliable they are, and their choice of chasis could be better, not that the market has an abbundance of cool chasis.

  8. Does anyone know of a website that builds custom affordable gaming/media rigs?? obviously not alienware....

I'm looking for a gaming/media rig that is super expandable (ie. lots of PCI slots & HD space)

Also I am looking for people's thoughts on liquid cooled systems. my only worry is longevity as I normally upgrade to a whole new system about every 3-4 years.

  9. Is there a motherboard you recommend. I haven't found many mother boards that have alot of PCI slots, especially since some graphic cards take up 2 slots?

This is what i would like to have slots for at least:

2x Graphics cards (either crossfire or SLI)

    1x Physics card

    1x Ethernet (Gigabit)

    1x TV tuner

    1x Sound Card

  10. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions for a very expandable motherboard and case. I want to build, or have built for me a large gaming rig/media computer that I can keep expanding on. It seems with most desktop cases I keep running out of room inside of them, eg. can only hold two hard drives, and three PCI cards. I know there are some server cases out there, but I'm not sure how effective server motherboards are for gaming. Any help would be really appreciated.
