That was pretty lulz

I don't know, nvg sound pretty cool.

I've got a scsi scanner out in the shed. It still works, built like a brick outhouse, and has a ISA scsi card.

I've got a 4gig iPod Mini. I got it for one specific reason: the aluminum shell. I have a tendency to break personal electronics, such as PDAs and CD players. It works well, it's got decent battery life and I only use iTunes for synching the iPod (and podcasts, but that's because I'm lazy)

I've got a pci express 16 graphics card and I'm quite happy with it. I'm only using it, however, because when I built my new system the motherboard I settled on didn't have an AGP slot. I'm quite happy with my current card

Personally I like the Logitech G15 gamming keyboard
I've got one and I like it too, but Meta said he didn't need all the extra gaming buttons. Those Das keyboards look badass, and if I had a machine that needed a keyboard, I'd be all over that.

Oh, and look out for some Hak5 homebrew DS hacking soon :)
that is really cool. I don't have a DS, yet i still find that really cool
I do have DS and it'd be sweet to do something besides sudoku with it

The statewide hype for Tigers probably caused you to miss it
Actually I havn't really been paying much attention to the Tigers. I really hate baseball (it's so damn boring) but because hockey is up and running, I don't mind packing into my neighbors living room with 20 other people to watch the wings play on their big-screen tv. Hockey is far more entertaining than Baseball will ever be.
I enjoy watching the Tigers from time to time, but if the hype was any worse, it'd reach critical mass.
And hockey, obviously. Sucks tho, I haven't seen any of the games yet this season because of work.

I work at a super market and actually got to look at the guts of one of these things: Fan, batteries and a small curcuit board.
A possible idea is maybe hooking it up to a laser trip wire and modding it so it goes off that way, maybe?
-
Allright, that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do first thing in the morning.
Agreed.

Maybe it's because I don't get emails, but I don't get very many phishing attacks. I did get one for Myspace, which is funny, because I don't have a myspace account.

I'm in the Great Lake state, yo
Oh yeah, I thought I saw someone from MI in here somewhere. How in the hell did I miss the red wings avatar.

Is there a way to limit the cpu usage of a process? I wanted to try a rainbowcrack on another machine, set it cracking its own password without anyone knowing.
Well, in theory no, but if you have the cpu usage up too high, the lag will be noticable to anyone using the box

constantly reposting threads about things we class as somewhat off-limits due to their nature and reposting repeatedly when his threads got locked
He basically wanted to know how to hack teh gibson, lolol

I completely agree with moonlit's definition. A lot of my friends don't understand why I take exception to being called a nerd.

Damn linux numptys! Get a proper OS! ;-)
The comic book idea is pretty cool, maybe see if the CAD or Penny Arcade people would do it? Long shot it know, but they seem to know there shit.
What about the guy who did the Superman comic? He's apparently a fan of the show

Don't let the forum lead a life of its own.
Disclaimer: I've watched the full Terminator trilogy over the weekend.
Fight the machines!
hak5 forums = skynet?
But to be completely serious, I like the idea of a projects forums. The only problem is it might take a bit to "train" everyone to post the correct stuff in the correct place

edit: I'm completely fine, just a scratch.
Atleast it wasn't road rash. Happened to a buddy of mine, didn't look like a good time at all

A buddy of mine works for an ISP that does some tech support. Someone brought in a computer to be worked on and he said that he opened it up and it looked like a rat's nest inside, it was so dusty.

I use dreamhost and I'm quite happy with them. The one click installs, if you're into that, makes things easy too.
neat idea
