For those of you who don't know what Source Fort is, its a multiplayer mod for Half Life 2 Deathmatch, where the whole point is to build up a fort with the gravity gun and then have a good game of CTF.

I'm currently running a small CS:Source server at golfing22.net:27015 or 68.43.6.103:27015 . So if you want anymore help pm me. Also, if anybody wants the rcon password to my server, I'd be glad to tell you.

You could always somehow mod a xbox controller so that it will somehow hold down the back key all the time, and then you could just set up another xbox and add the player into the game.

don't forget to setup an ssh server at home, and put putty on your usb key and configure mobile firefox to use the ssh tunnel.

I just saw this on digg today, and thought it was interesting that somebody is creating another filesystem for linux called "SPAD"

ipodsoft makes some decent software for recorvering MP3s/AACs off a ipod, http://www.ipodsoft.com/site/pmwiki.php?n=igadget.Homepage

Are you able to get the .xml file from the site, which if you do, then you could easily plug them into any other RSS reading program.

I recommend Joomla/Mambo personally.

one question, if I was to buy a xbox 360 this Christmas, would I receive a drive that I could MOD or all the new drives fully *patched*?
-
that sucks, I was kind of hoping Microsoft forgot to learn their *mistake* by making the xbox extremely easy to mod.

Is he talking about the DVD firmware hacks that allow you to play games from a DVD-R, because haven't they been out for a long time already?

spektormax seems to have a great bit-torrent client that communicates to you via IRC server, so as long as AVG/Norton/Avast/etc don't see it as a virus, it will work great.
-
thanks for the suggestion, I didn't realize utorrent was as good as it really is. The feature I really like is the "Auto-Load Torrents", it will be very useful in my USB mod.
EDIT: The only problem is that utorrent stores it's settings in the registry which would make things a lot harder for the usb switchblade mod.
-
So after seeing the folding@home mod for the USB Switchblade, I've been interested in creating a USB switchblade mod that turned the machine into a "dedicated" bit-torrent seeder.
The mod would probably first, copy the .torrent file, the files for the torrent, and a bit-torrent client, to somewhere on the hard drive, then make the client autorun on startup.
What I need to find now is a small bit-torrent client that runs silently, and can be started via command line without the user noticing.
If anybody has any suggestions or wants to help me, PM me on IRC or the forums (username=golfing22) or email me at golfing22 AT gmail DOT com

Short Bus was by far my favorite forum of all time. But now I can't seem to find it anywhere, and I was wondering where it has gone too?

Maybe there is a filter on the Internet that he is trying to use, that would explain why he can't just reinstall OSX.

Myspace users in general have to be the worst webpage designers ever.
I'm always surprised that people think having a white background with yellow font makes your page seem cool. Also the stationary images that never move in the background make things hard to read also. And horrible music that always plays in the background is a plus too.

It take my TI-83+ almost 2 minutes to graph and solve a 3 equation linear combination, let along compute millions of hashes

That would be cool except when everybody goes smashing pumpkins.....

I facing some problems with a school network myself. I'm trying to get the school admin password (just as a personal challenge) while working around Fortress, Symantec, DeepFreeze, and the highly annoying Novell Login.
If you have time you could always boot up something like Auditor (http://www.remote-exploit.org/index.php/Auditor_main) and use the included pwdump utility to dump the Admin password hash then take it home and decrypt it with some rainbow tables.

NTLM for sure, a few months ago I was skeptical about NTLM, but since Vista seems to use it still without a salt then it seems like we will be able to use these tables for a good amount of time.
