Sooo ive bought the open mesh router around 6 months ago and tried to set it up almost successfully then i messed up or something and had to do a reflash then after a while i messed it up again. So its been a few months and i finally have the free time to commit to this project but the problem is i wanna start fresh again with a re flash but i simply can't.
I have tried multiple ways of flashing the open mesh but none available it always seems like my computer is not detecting it.
I can ssh into the open mesh with 192.168.1.1 and i can access the karma page through Wifii All this is through wifii (my computer connecting to the openmesh network) the webif page also does not work for some reason.
Can anyone share a way on how i can re flash the openmesh router when unable to connect through Ethernet ? or simply find a way that i can fix my Ethernet!

Edit: by Ethernet being dead i mean its disabled i don't think its actually broken just disabled
A similar thing happen to mine. So what I did I tried a different computer(PC) and it did detected it. I then went and flash the fon using Gargoyle fon flash [http://www.gargoyle-router.com/downloads/fon-flash/fon-flash-windows.zip] remember to first turn the fon off and connect the ethernet cable to your computer, run fon flash, load the appropriate files and flash it, then turn the fon on.
If this doesn't work then I suggest looking at the debricking topic from Darren Kitchen

192.168/16 sounds like it's still available.
If i use 192.168/16 it gives me an "ip conflict" error. I could use this one but I am not able to share the internet
from my wifi to the lan. That is why I don't use this one.
At home I setup my router to be on the 10 range, so then I used the 172 range on Jasager and It worked perfectly(If I assign 192 range it won't work not even at home), however I can't use this one because it conflicts with my school's ip.
Is there a way I can resolve the "ip conflict" error? or is there any other ip ranges I could use?

I had another question. My home router is on the 10. range, my school's ip is also on the 10. range (and they also have the dhcp ip in 172. range). My question is which ip range should I have my Jasager on? So what other ip's can I use?

You need to edit/create /etc/dnsmasq.conf, similar to the Rickroll Jasager.
# is a wildcard for all sites AFAIK, so #.yahoo.com or *.yahoo.com should work.
I tried it and created the file dnsmasq.conf under etc. It looks at follows:
address=/#.yahoo.com/74.125.19.99
After reboot I tried it on victim computer and didn't work so then I removed the wildcard and
left the file as follows:
address=/yahoo.com/74.125.19.99
Didn't work either.

You've actually edited the local host file in your computer, so that will only effect your computer, that won't effect anyone else who connects to the Jasager.
I did actually edit the file on the router. I used X-WRT(webif^2).
System>File Editor>etc>hosts
I just gave the PC host file edit as an example.
Any suggestions?

So I want to redirect certain websites to who ever is connected to Wifi Pineapple v.2
I've done it locally(PC) so that whenever I go to (for example) yahoo it redirects to google. I imagine I can use the hosts file under etc/hosts
This is my attempt:(74.125.19.99 is google)
127.0.0.1 localhost. 74.125.19.99 www.yahoo.com
Saved Changes>Apply Changes>Reboot
Then I went to the targeted pc and tried going to yahoo but it did not redirected to google.
The question is what am I doing wrong?
Also is there any guide on how to change images through Jasager?
How could I intercept an image passing through my computer and sending a different one through Jasager?
Any help is appreciated.

You're not supposed to give the router a dynamic IP, because it's the DHCP server...
But how do I get it back to work?
If i can't access the router. There seems to be no IP for it.

I tried changing "Static" to "DHCP" on X-WRT and now I can't access Jasager. It seems to not have an ip-address anymore. Please help...

Thanks Psychosis, The only problem is that the victims don't have internet access. They do connect to Jaseger but they don't have internet access. I'm thinking that Jaseger might not be releasing ip's correctly. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Hope anyone can help me with this. I just bought a wifi pineapple v2(Jasager), I'm having some problems with the internet.
My laptop is connected to my home wifi network and works well until I plug in Jasager, it says I'm connected to the network put when i go to any website it doesn't load. Also Jaseger is not repeating the signal from my laptop. I'm using a normal Ethernet cable, should I be using a crossover cable?
Is there any guide for setting up Jasager(not making one) for pc?

It is definitely not bricked. The problem is that ip on your fon is probably conflicting with your machine so then it gives it an automatic ip. Check the ipv4 configuration for your ethernet connection [make sure it's set to "Obtain an ip automatically"] and make sure the wifi connection is not sharing the internet to the ethernet connection[in other words disable ICS]. Now reboot or re-connect the ethernet cable. It should work, if not then just re-flash it using Gargoyle fon flash.
