There is still is a solid red led with a round busy icon
there's just one firmware image that is supposed to be used when doing a recovery. Do not try to flash any other firmware than the recovery firmware image when in recovery mode.

hello im having restore issues on my pineapple 7
i can enter restore mode when i flash recovery it says it will reboot but never does
and if i just reboot machine same happens with any firmware
