1. As already suggested, get VirtualBox (it's free).
2. Get Ubuntu Desktop ISO (it's free and that's the easiest way to get started if you never used a Linux/*BSD before)
3. Install it on a VirtualBox VM (virtual machine).
4. Install SSH server on Ubuntu VM.
Now, you can use putty (or your favorite SSH client) to SSH to your VM. It's not only free but also with root access!

G-mod And A BSOD

Hi everybody, I'm having some trouble running G-mod on my Lenovo r61 laptop. Whenever I open the game, it runs for a few seconds, then gives me the BSOD.
But I am able to play games like Portal, HL2 and HL2DM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
