  1. FYI: etherpad was (somewhat) recently purchased by google and will remain up "at least until it is made open source"(TWig ep.20) in other words, it will all become wave.

also, I've found wave to be pretty good for dev collaboration (currently observing 2.0.1 rom dev for samsung moment)

  2. I have had my MacBook Pro since early December and i love the thing, I've gotten so much use out of it ill probably need a new battery by summer-time.

If that isn't available (or you don't want to spend) i would check out the Dell XPS notebooks as aforementioned.

  3. I know there has to be some out there, id love to learn and close some of the vulnerabilities of any OS, espically seeing as mac is growing in the marketplace i can only assume more and more exploits will become apparent.. So does anyone know of large Mac Hacking communities?

  4. You can launch DirectX programs in both windows, I believe the way to get it to launch in the second window for most games is set another target when launching the games.

It is different for each game so you'll need to find out how to for each game.

do you mean running in a window the draggin over to teh other screen?

or is there a target specification for each program?

  5. I Hvae two moniters on a GeForce 7600GT, and am using the latest edition of the forceware drivers, and am wondering, if i can make my full screen applications (such as CS:S and Gunz:The Duel) launch on the secondary screen, if so, how, and is theres any money involved its not good (im on a budget of 0$)

    thanks for the help

  6. the program that came with my mouse doesnt work properly with this game, im trying to make right click block, as oppsoed to shift, but the anti-hack they have disables the re-map from the program, many people have had sucess doing it through the system registry, however i want to be able to trun it on and off

    any help is appreciated

  7. How would i make a .bat to rebind a mouse button to preform the shift function, or vice versa, so on and so forth, etc.

also, i woudl need one to re-do it

jsut a simple list of commands woudl be fine

  8. I found this episode to be intresting and satisfying, but at the same time, i can feel a huge onslaught of things to come in the next ep.

I enjoyed the ds-x segment, im totally entertaining the idea of me getting one, but itll cut into my wii savings.

The RSI segment i found intresting, and yes, i did do the hand movements. I can definatly see how eavry one makes a huge deal about carpell tunnel, but i can also see how those that dont live on their computer (im guessing not many on these forums) find it boring

Today i wasnt in a working mood, and i gotta say 2x04 made this day a good one!

  9. Bob, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is a driver problem, usually not ram. The crpatacular NVIDIA WDM drivers or firewall program kept making my rig go tits up. (never cared to mind out which driver it was)

i was speakingfrom personal experiance, whne i got an IRQL notification it was my RAM, and msot stop errors seem to be RAm related, it seems though, the ones that arent are a driver issue, and ive noticed alot occor on NF4 boards...speaking of wich

when i insert a DVD into my hitachi gd5000 i get a stop error, commonly experianced on similar boards, but solutions have varied from RAM (tried and failed) to windows problem(tried and failed 3 times) to driver issues(tried and failed)[/hijack]

  10. is there any known workaround for this problem?

i ahve another linksys router, im not sure of teh modle number but its a standard 4 port wired, and a switch, if i were to connect the wireless router to the wired router would it show, or would it only show the wireless router's IP?

  11. make a computer out of it and allocate it to the great causes that hak5 usuers currently support, or use it to test some hacks, and practice a few attacks

sell it off on ebay and buy a cheap laptop

  12. Hmm, that's a good point there. What if it were to project a keyboard onto the wall...and you use the glove to point at the keys? I dunno, i prefer good old qwerty :P

laser keyboard on think geek, but you actually touch the keys.

thats pretty much where i gott eh idea from, but also that you could type without anyone knwing you were typing, hence the reason for a glove, as shown in the article however the systems were larger than i woudl ahve wished, so it kidna contradicts my entire idea of typing discreatly

  13. i get what your sayin, yeah i thoguht about that but then thats why you would incorporate a calibration button

both wii controllers and the powerglovve have sensor arrangements, meaning i would have to triangulate with a diffrent object than that if i were to walk into say, a coffe shop

i guess these product demos seem to make the idea even farther...

  14. i just got an idea as i was watching 2x03, using a powerglove (or similar device, pererablly more portable, to sense you motion, and make it able to use a keyboard, this is also based off the laser keyboard i saw on think geek, but without being able to see it

i figure, youd press a button to calibrate the system, either WASD and mouse, or homerow, you couldnt really move but you could however, type much more discreatly(such as with no sound) or even, take notes while your laptop is either across the room or closed in your bag.

a few probems i alredy can think of

    1.no soldering iron

    2. might alredy exist

3.i cant code programs worth a damn

4.need a more portable glove unit

  15. no they do not show on a -sP nmap scan, or a regular nmap scan, ora windows ping scan, so, im assuming my router is handling my wired and wireless networks diffrently, therefore, i need to mkae them be one, so i can share my printer with my familie's computers

  16. alright, needs to be done through my computer

the problem is that my Wireless lan and my wired lan (both on the same router) arent communication with one another, or at least i think

    nmap -sP 192.168.1.100-150

on my computer reveals only one client

the same thing on my dads laptop (wireless) shows 3

    (his,my sisters,her friends atm)
