Lot's of cloud storage stuff out there, but looking for something that I can backup the pictures and such into the cloud from my NAS box. Cheaper the better. It should be something that runs in the background since it is on headless server VM. What do people recommend? I have even considered Amazon storage at one point.
Thanks,

I can't believe how much difficulty I am having trying to find a linux firewall distro that support being a PPTP client. I check monowall, pfsense, untangled, vyatta, and others I forget. Seems like such a basic feature. I want a linux distro that support having the ethernet interface as the LAN and the PPTP client tunnel as the internet connection.
Any firewalls I forgot?
Thanks,
Greg

Episode 5x16
in Hak5
Tried out ESXi4 and have a simple question. Does the memory usage seem a bit high? After installing just the ESXi, it says that over 600MB of RAM has been used. Am I seeing this correctly? Seems quite high for a bare metal HV. I currently use Xen at home and wanted to try this because I want a complete, supported and upgradable hypervisor host setup instead of my hacked together Xen setup. To that, my Xen host uses almost nothing for RAM.
Also, for each VM, it seems that there is also some RAM tax. It looks like ESXi might be what I am looking for, but looks like you needs lots of RAM for VMs that will actually need very little. Yah, RAM is cheap.
Looking forward to the Xen and HyperV versions of this episode.
Thanks,
Greg

Is it out of the box or a mod to add pptp client support? It isn't clear. I'm hoping for an out of the box solution.
