I know this is a bit old but I just recently got the 2 zip files (confirmed checksum and everything) but when I extract the first zip on a Windows box, I get an overwrite request because there is an "autorun.inf" and an "Autorun.inf". Currently, I just renamed the "Autorun.inf" file to "Autorun_1.inf" (It's the autorun for the PortableApps). I know if I extract it on Linux it would be fine, but my question is, can I just plug the USB thumb drive into a Linux box, rename "Autorun_1.inf" to "Autorun.inf", then be able to use it without issue on Windows?
Also, thanks for seeding this. I got the first zip of a different, less respectable site but the second zip wasn't seeded well and never finished until I found this fora.

Hey Dweez,
When I extracted both the files into one folder, I allowed it to override the autorun.inf, and I didn't have any issues.
No Problem, I am glad you got it! And thank you, for all the other Seeders, for helping seed this!
Hope this helps.

Big Ui difference, but running much quicker

I have a thinkpad edge laptop with 1 usb 3.0 and I wasn't having any issues with virtual box, until a Windows update... The alfa card that I had plugged into the usb 3.0 would randomly disconnect. After a couple of Windows updates later, it's more stable.

I'll get it back up this evening... and my bro is taking off, so i will be able to seed it off of his pc for a few weeks, starting in a couple of days

I have tried troubleshooting it for a couple of days,i have read and tried everything i can find documentation on, so can you suggest what i should do.
Mine was working fine until I plugged in my USB Alfa AWUS036NH, now i can not connect to it wifi or ethernet port. Tried resetting it with the reset button. No go, and the only ip address i can get when i plug it into my pc, is 169.254.88.27, no webpage. Do i need to serial flash it? and can i use my propeller plug?

There are times you want to go to the library, or community college,
and want to to see whats going on the network, or use their pipes.
Below are a few Pictures of a quick case I made to hide such things from plan site.
One thing is, you have to make sure you have small connectors for your cables.

Everything looks to be working great!!
Thanks Again!!
Great to hear! No Problem!
Got to 100% this morning. I have been seeding, as I plan to continue for a few days.
I normally don't seed, but I appreciate the generosity you've shown by posting it.
Awesome! I thank you for seeding! I'll keep it up and seeding as well. No Problem, have fun with it and make sure to tell .ronin, thanks for revamping it!

Currently downloading (and have been for a couple of days). Slow, but that's to be expected with so few peers. Will report back when it's done.
Thanks, and at night, I am also seeding it off of my phone to, to help get it out there!
-
Please let me know when and if you get it downloaded, So I know it's working.
-
Was it on the defcon DVD provided to all attendies?
No, you had to go by hackers for charity both, and pick it up via a write blocked sd card reader.
When I saw r0win post on twitter that you can get it, i dropped the talk i was listening to and got a copy. I was told I was the first one to get it. When I unzipped it, I was using my Netbook.... it took 6 hours to unzip. built it and then was off and running!

Katana 3 BETA
You need both parts for it to work!
First up, i have only seeded and started a torrent a few time, so please bear with me.
Seed link for File 1: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:D129B8DC7AAF6B9194DEE931FCAD37B444E07C83&dn=katana-v3.0-beta-1.zip&tr=udp%3a//tracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80/announce
Seed link for File 2: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:C18BA91C9095ED3649790A8109807DB8DD4987C1&dn=katana-v3.0-beta-2.zip&tr=udp%3a//tracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80/announce
or
The link below has the hashes for the files.
or
If you can read the md5 hashes off of the Pic you can make sure no one has changed the files.
The Read Me File Posted Down Below
Katana v3.0 Beta (Unsheathed)
Installation:
Requires USB flash drive (or other disk) of size 8GB or larger formatted FAT32.
NOTE: Some tools included in Katana get flagged as "hacker tools" by many
Anti-Virus programs. Make sure to turn off all virus scanner before install.
1. Download the Katana ZIP files to the local disk.
2. Extract the content of the Katana ZIP files onto the USB flash drive;
example "E:\" for Windows OR "/mount/sdb1" for Linux. Make sure NOT to create a
subdirectory when extracting the ZIPs content. Extract all files into the root
of the flash drive. If prompted, use the "write into" option to copy
files into already existing directories. Katana is broken into 2 files because
of its size. Extract both files to the directory in the same manner. There are
many files, so this may take some time. When done, you should see about a dozen
files in the root of the flash drive.
3. Change directory to the freshly copied "boot" directory on the USB device.
(Make sure you're in the "boot" directory on the USB device and NOT your local
disk! )
4. Run the following with Administrative privileges. For Linux/OSX run
./boostinst.sh, for Windows run ./boostinst.bat
5. Make sure the computer BIOS allows USB boot. Boot from flash drive. All Done!

Ok, I finally made it up to San Francisco, first for the Gps cordanace on the hak5 challenge coin and second for my first BSides! We have a few ideas what to look for. We started on our trip at 1:30 am and drove north for 6 hours. No sleep. We will be heading to back out that way.
