I've typed in ndiswrapper in which doesn't show anything it does not exist, so i take it the install didn't work :shock: . Windows is so much easier lol

ok not sure if its done now but i did this "cd the_folder" "make distclean" "make" and last "make install" so i think i've done it now, so now I'm going to try and find the drivers and hope it works!

I'm in over my head, i got to the extract it part doing " tar zxvf ndiswrapper-version.tar.gz" etc

"This will create ndiswrapper-version directory. Change to that

directory and run

make uninstall

make"

At that part i got stuck doesnt want to work :s what do i do?

Well i finally got around to getting a linux cd (fedora core5) installed it etc.

But now i am stuck i would like to access the internet but i use a cable & wireless 802.11g wireless lan mini usb adaptor, which fedora doesnt support so i now have no clue what to do. I hardly know anything about windows let alone linux so any help or knowledge will be brilliant!

i had to make up a name for my college course where were setting up a small business. I called it POYPC, play on your pc, little bit of photoshop playing it looked quite groovy :D so the look sold it to everyone :D.

Im not too sure if haveing the word 'hak' as part of your pc i think people will more likely be scared of you. :oops:

Theirs a portable xampp floating about from what i recall you can get a perl addon for it.

I have no clue but being previously on a network, would their actually be a account setup up on the computers.

I would of thought that all the accounts would of previously of been on a remote server, and nothing on the computer its self, but thinking of it when installing your windows you set up a administrator account so i take it i will be going for that, and then changing the password?

First off hi im mike, i am a newbie when it comes to computing i have much to learn :D.

I am doing a course at college dealing with system support etc.

But we have been messing around with the old pc's and they have network accounts set up etc, so trying to connect with no network connection is hard :p but our tutor says we should reinstall windows, to gain access to the pc.

Now i dont think this is right their must be a way around this.

The only way i could think of is safe mode but it still prompts for a password.

So any help would be great.
