  1. Not wanting to cause argument here, And im sure there are plenty of reasons why it is like this...

But should a IPTV show, based partially around hacking, and that even does segments on tor and its uses, block tor access to its IRC?

I can see in an IRC like this, the ability to connect and talk to the people in there annonymously would be a great advantage to some people.

    Comments?

  2. check in services (run > services.msc) that it hasnt stupidly shut down useful things like 'file and printer shareing' when disableing ICS..

Also... try turning your windows firewall off ;)

  3. Cain and abel has pre written filters in it to work out which bits of the traffic its 'hearing' is infomation the user of cain may want to see (like all the stuff under the passwords tab in apr)

Its possible AIM has recently changed something in the connection, so that the filter to catch the aim username no longer gets it (as it wont mach the filter rule)

Try ettercap... *cain for linux basically.. but better* it lets you write your own rules.

(ooor as you said just gettit through ethereal)

    Thats my guess anyway

  4. Now im no great coder... but the easiest way to do it i should think... from what you just said:

Linux box, samba for windows file shareing.. (so you can allow users to place files into there)

Then just have a cron job running every say 30 seconds.

(maybe checking if the files are still being written too first and deferring the task for another 30 seconds if they are.. so you dont encrypt half a file ;))

Which just, locks the folder. (chmod command) uses the commandline version of GPG to encrypt the folder... use the ftp command to upload it... then the rm command to remove the files and encrypted file you just made, you could even pipe all the information chucked out by those commands into a log file if you wanted.

    Anyone else got any ideas?

  5. *ducks for the impending flame*

Edit: Metatron got there before i could even duck.. efficient that guy :P

He didnt say what for, just that he had made a 50watt amplifier.. and it was illegal to use in the UK.

And.. why would that not be possible anyway?

    Anyways...

If your still wondering which idea to use... I can vouch for the 'poor mans wifi' worked for me over 7KM

  6. Routeable audio to every room in my house.. also have cat5 running to every room.

I really want to computerise it.. with rfid... so that if you start watching something in one room on the tv/cd player / media centre... it moves around rooms with you... and supports more than one user at a time...

Never gonna have time for it... but still :P

Other achivement, having nothing on our network at work that i havnt had some hand in setting up.. *tis my baby :P*

and writeing a beskpoke content managed website for a radio station, learning php from scratch while doing it :P.. that was a while ago

  7. Its like if your in france... and cant speak a word of french... but try, the locals you are trying to speak too will usually speak english to help you... where as if you go up and just start speaking english.. they'll keep talking in french...

You gotta put a little bit of effort in first ;)

*Don't know where that post came from, why i typed it, or why french people can be arrogant that way... and honestly.. im not on crack.. i should go now*
