  1. I think Seb just covered this nicely:

    1. Follow the instructions in the supplied booklet. They describe how to configure your IPV4 settings correctly and set a static IP of 172.16.42.42.
    2. Re-configure the ethernet port on the WiFi Pineapple MKV so that it tries to get an IP over DHCP. This is what you'll want if you are connecting the WiFi Pineapple MKV directly to your modem over ethernet. Read through this.

On the WiFi Pineapple MKV there are a few ways to give it (and it's clients) internet. We support Android USB tethering, mobile broadband dongles, WiFi Clientmode, ethernet. It seems like you only want ethernet for this setup. We don't have it configured to work with a router by default, but to work with our configurations by default.

The likely reason you are unable to connect to the WiFi Pineapple webinterface is because your routing settings are incorrect.

    Best Regards,

  2. I had similar problems. Had Mark V connected to desktop via ethernet cable. Desktop had a wireless connection to my internet router. Enabling "Internet Connection Sharing" on the desktop did not let the Mark V cruise the internet. What I had to do was connect one of the radios on the Mark V to my wireless router, and after I suceeded at that the Mark V was now able to look for updates and download infusions. That is what worked for me....

I know that this question may have been asked many times before, but i still don't understand why can't i use the internet after using the pineapple. Is it something about the ICS or what exactly am i doing wrong ? I have access to the pineapple homepage which is the 172.16.14.42 but when i try to download anything from the infusion bar, it keeps saying check your internet connection. So can someone guide please on how to properly setup the connection on my laptop. I'm using windows 7

Thank you in advance for your help !

  3. Connect your wlan1 via Client Mode to the wireless Access Point and try the Pineapple bar then. As for ICS did you use a startup script in Linux or are you talking about a different OS?

I can't seem to connect to my wireless. I have a hidden SSID but I can see it and verify the MAC, but I still cannot connect to a wireless. The ICS I was speaking of is on a Win 7 PC.

  4. Mark V arrived. Yaaaaayyyy......

Put in SD card, and booted up. Went through all the normal lights.

Plugged it into a PC via network cable. Was able to see GUI, change password and it never came back. Had to reboot the pineapple to get back in but it did remember my password.

Enabled ICS in the PC and got the internet working, but when I try to check for infusions I get Entropy Bunny wiggling his ears, and I have let it run for quite some time.... Have to reboot to get it back again.

    Any ideas?
