  1. I have 3 dells, all have worked great, I guess the problem is there is not enough stuff made here in America and everything is outsourced. I called tech support the other day and it was an indian call center, it took this lady on the phone like 15 minutes to get the spelling of my city correct. Maybe we need some more 100% American made pc's God knows we need more jobs here lol 100% American tech support as well, there are still a few companys like Hostmonster and GoDaddy that use local call centers for support instead of outsourcing, and the support is soooo much better. I found a company in NC which makes 100% American made pc's
    http://www.velocitymicro.com/

and makes some top notch pc's, also arent Apples/Mac's American made also or do they subcontract out for the building of it..

and if I wanted to make the worst thread ever I would ask how to hack into my girlfriends myspace :) j/k

You do realise that in that "amercian" made PC almost all the components are made in asia - i know for a fact that the CPU and Motherboard are.

  2. Zimmer and h3%5kr3w your arguments are flawed. You can not rely on the market to balance the cost when the product cannot be refused. You argue that taxes and spending will go up, what your not taking into account is that the current system cost want be carried through as they will be replaced.

The current system in the US is not working and is not sustainable in any type of term. Lets have a quick look at some figures from the OECD (2007).

Health expenditure as a share of GDP.

    US 16%

    France 11% (closest spender)

    Average 8.9%

Canada 10.1% (added as US compare themselves to canada a lot)

Health Expenditure per capita (private + public).

    US $7290

    Norway $4763

    Average $2964

    Canada $3805

Now I can already hear you complaining that it includes both private and public, what about just public? Apart from 2 other countries (Norway and Luxembourg) the US Spends more than the other 31 countries, in fact it spends more publicly than the average of Private and Public.

The current US medical system is flawed and needs replacing.

  3. Hey Silent knight.

Head over to http://www.speedtest.net/ and let us know what speed you are getting.

I have a 1.5mb connection to my isp but usually get around 1.3mb. all depends on what time of day it is.Make sure nothing except your browser is running.

It may also be that you are confusing bits and Bytes. On a 1.5mBIT connection you will download at a max of about 160mBYTES (this is observed max - havent done the maths).
