i hate that it's always down - but gotta admit as an SEO guy myspace is very useful for webdev's, mostly just another tool.
And also gotta admit it is cool to catch up with all my highschool buddies that i've not seen in years across them ther' wires. :)

What I would consider a good Hak.5 calendar is one with images of slick hardware, cool mods and messy rooms and server rooms.
And I wouldn't suggest doing anything that involves your viewership going out to investigate MySpace. The damage will be irreversible.
Not a bad idea never even thought of that to use mods and hardware - that would be something i would like one for sure.

but still have monthly contest of whom the audience finds attractive and go from there for a hak.5 calendar....remember just a suggestion.

Let me know i'll help out as much as possible currently i'm building this website www.leet3.com its not a tech site or anything it's mostly for local advertising but i also want to put ya cats and sister sites up on the links
Please remember i'm barely building this site and am working on the color scheme - mostly going bright as hell as opposed to my www.mmadogs.com website.
also sent ya guys an email if you wanted me to put a banner on the sites but haven't gotten a response - is it something ya interested in (if you don't have one built already) then i'll build one right quick and get it up.

Just an idea (i know AOTS does it already but) you should create a MySpace account and from there submit the hottest girls of Hak.5 monthly then at the end of the year you can take each months winners and (to involve your graphic fans) hold a contest on the best mock up for the calendar and have them printed for purchase.
Ya know that would sell quickly and get some more interactivity with the overall site from the members.

I have a tendency to "over design" myself - years of tattooing and comic book drawing I guess. - LOL
Main question I have is your SEO, you have no meta tags in the source code for keyword density and frequency? But ya guys have a huge page rank from your recip links last i checked you had over 7,000 in MSN and almost 4,000 in yahoo.
Biggest question I have is why you don't use MySpace to help meet ya fans and help with page rank?

I always catch things at the end which sucks (point in fact screensavers when it was being cancelled) - i just barely fround Hak.5 bout 2 weeks ago and have watched every episode again and again and yet again - LOL
Personally I don't know linux (graphic's guy here) - but am dying to learn would luv to see a tutorial for a noob on how to use this OS on Hak.5.
But gotta say whatever these cats decide to do is perfect for me just keep coming out with great stuff :)
Just glad no television network is trying to sink it's claws into this show to try and squeeeze it out like they did screensavers. Dam the Man - Save the empire - LOL

I use (and really like) Joomla.
True, there are always security flaws, and significantly customizing a template is a PitA, but I still like it.
BTW, Joomla and Mambo are basically the same thing.
true the camp split from mambo to form joomla, i'm just worried cause joomla is starting to say within a year or so they will be branching further from the original source so makes me wonder bout the current mambo cross modules i'm using if they might still work later on joomla.
Personally i'd rather hard code the php myself also but don't have the time to sit down and do it i'm literally given 3-5 days per site to design logo, theme, layout, xhtml code, to data entry for the page which sucks. Why i'm literally out there trying to find the easiest and most design capabile but yet user friendly backend.
Completely agree also -with the 3 column layout sucking cause ya are kinda stuck with it - i usually just use the basic script to remove the 3rd column if not needed on some pages but still a bit hookie if ya ask me - LOL
My biggest question is with SEO - with these CMS packages does anybody know if the spiders, bots, and crawlers are able to spider the pages body content for keyword frequency and density in order to index them correctly? I've already renamed the .htaccess file from .txt to just htaccess file but when i checked with the google command allinurl: or site: only the home page pulls up as being indexed and my page rank analyzer WebCeo claims to find more pages and when i do a search it does find them but the overall command for the engines returns no results? Any suggestions on this, cause i'm literally pulling my hair out over here trying to meet deadlines - LOL

Currently i'm using http://www.joomla.org content management for my website blogging and news purposes located here http://www.mmadogs.com. However, i've been reading in many different forums and discussions that http://www.drupal.org is possibly the better of these packages.
Anybody use these software packages before or currently - if ya do/have could you please tell me of the 3 (or any others like XOOPS) which one would be the best outta the 3? From ya own personal experience

nOOb here to linux - but love to jump into shiat - would like to see more in depth ep's on everything comp with open source - but have one suggestion why not start hitting up cell phones, pda's and such other technology with a 2 minute segment on their new technolust features? who knows maybe if companies see ya cat's advertising their shiat - y'all might get free stuff to tinker with :)
with that said gotta say ya guys do put on one hella show no matter what ya do - just don't loose that humor & beer, that's ya hook
*off subject* i hadn't heard of ya cats till couple months past (have watched every episode 10x's now at work)- until then i was a AOTS fan just cause it was the closest to comp show ya could get, but after catching ya guys show my DVR has now cancelled that series recording and now waiting for the 5th of every month - cheers :)
p.s. saw ya asked web dev's on aide for the web - the logo of the wolf's head on my avatar is a design i drew then vectorized in illustrator - i'm an old school tattoo artist / comic book penciler want me to characterize ya guys for a header on the website?
