    I've been trying to get saver2 with tor enabled work under linux/wine. I still struggle to get tor to work. Querying preprocessed endpoints is ok with 42 nodes found. But then I get tortunnel exited prematurely, retrying and premature exit on and on. I use sock 5 through 127.0.0.1:5060 which works fine under windows. I suspect it could be something to do with my ssh setting but could not find any solution. Can someone tell me what is needed to get tortunnelling to work under linux.

    It's quite unlikely, sorry. A native port would require changing languages (baaaad); though mono could be an option with a new output layer (assuming it does not eat shit and die with all the UI stuff). It would likely not perform so hot, though. You're better off using a client like pianobar or pithos, really [other third party pandora clients].

    There is already a pandora client for maemo in development state. See here. The problem is it cannot be used outside the US. May be if somehow the TOR portion you have done so nicely can be incorporated in the maemo client... a wish from me.

    It's been a while since my last visit here. The reason was I was flirting with grooveshark just to come to my personal conclusion that pandora is better for me to listen to music hands off. Grooveshark's radio feature doesn't make good music selection for me.

    Anyway, coming back here, redownloading the latest saver2, installed and I'm amazed at how much progress has been made. The best thing is Tor is now incorporated and it works flawlessly. Thank you for your good work, ZZJ.

    As shown here, I did get the lines you mentioned. I changed stations a few time in the Pandora Client, but PS2 still refused to create new playlists. It stayed with newMusic.m3u only.

    Check pandora settings (Saver2 - > pandora -> config something like) - should be an option to create playliss in there

    I can get PS2 to create a playlist. My issue is the playlist name seems to default to "newMusic" only. It used to name playlists according to the station name in PS1. Is this a bug?

    I tried to find and download "Pandora Client" but could not find the exact one. On Pandora site, a Pandora sidebar gadget is offered. Otherwise there are a few third party clients like Pandora's Box, OpenPandora. Which one do you refer to here as Pandora Client?

    I notice some of my saved songs are incomplete but I'm not sure whether that's because they got cut off prematurely when I quit PS. So I want to make sure when I quit PS, incomplete songs are not saved to the folder.

    This thread is getting very long. I'm not sure if someone has already asked the same question but I wonder if there is good way to quit a pandorasaver session without interupting any active ripping. There doesn't seem to be a stop button in pandora interface itself.

    Does the proxy-exception for data stuff (under advanced settings) work? It makes it download audio, the flash applet, and anything non pandora directly, not through proxy, which should obsolete low-bandwidth mode. I wasn't able to properly test it as i'm living in the US, and it would not fail me (with the you are not in US etc) stuff if it hadn't worked.

    the option is named "only send pandora control urls through SProxy configured proxy". A bit of a mouthful. Try checking it for me when you get a moment. You'll want to reload pandora as well, for the best test.

    With the "only send pandora.." checked, I got

    E GET for non pandora url

    E POST for non pandora url

    E CONNECT for pandora.com:443 with Response Tunn success

    E GET for audio-sjl-a.. with Response None

    Error: "It's taking longer than expected.."

    No ripping.

    I use PortableTor, PortableFirefox with no PAC file.

    Hmmmm, something is very wrong if it can't resolve DNS. What is your internet setup like? do you connect through a proxy normally, nevermind for pandora?

    I normally connect to the Internet directly with no proxy. I only use proxy with Pandora.

    Have you tried putting 127.0.0.1:8888 as a nonspecific proxy server, that is, use it all the time? Also, are you seeing the various requests being routed through SProxy? (they will show in the main window and log)

    With nonspecific proxy server I still got Error 502 but this time with a different description: "Unable to connect: DNS resolution failed." Yes all the requests are shown in SProxy.

    As for no music played, you might try firefox, and see if that works. Playing no music while displaying "It's taking longer..." while happily ripping away seems to be an IE-specific problem. I haven't the faintest what would cause that problem, though. If you can, PM me the results of http://127.0.0.1:8888/config on the newest beta version

    No it's not IE-specific. Firefox behaves exactly the same. I know that if the pac file below is used it will play but no proxy chaining and hence no ripping.

    SProxy is working fine here in Thailand using TOR. Only a couple of problems below:

    -Still no music played with "It's taking longer than expected.."

    -A lot of "Timed out waiting for response" errors

    A request: Would it be possible to automate PAC file setup at the launch of SProxy?

    BTW, with SProxy now, can I uninstall Fiddler2 altogether?
