Just wait for the new fon to come out with proper usb support.
Where is the challenge in that. :D

I have been looking around the net and found info on adding an SD card to the original FON. Can this be done to the fon +. Any info would be great.
Soldering skills are not a problem.
Cheers

To build my cable I used a pre built TTL to RS232 converter. There are a few on ebay.

I can access the console via a serial cable but cannot seem to interupt the boot process. I have tried ctrl+c but hyperterminal and secureCRT dont seem to be passing it to the unit. My cable is using all 4 connections rx tx gnd and power to the ttl to rs232 adapter. Any advice would be great.
I'm working on my second UK originated Fon, the first was an original Fon, this one is a Fon+. Both have redboot enabled but have an ip address of 0.0.0.0.This means that getting into doesn't work with the standard redboot command I normally use but luckily my cable came to the rescue.
Just letting you all know this because if you are in the UK you may have trouble flashing your Fons.

Once again thanks for the info. I was going to build my own converter but the pin out of the fon+ connector was useful.
I will try the linux unlocking info first then the serial route.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info, I have tried the info in Chris Oliver's Blog but it throws the error I described, I am waiting on parts coming to build the serial cable can you post a link to the method you used so I can give it a spin.
Thanks

My FON+ arrived today and ita a 2201C running 3.0.2-r1 firmware. I have looked into all the available info for flashing the Fon+ but none seem to work. When I run Ap51 it returns an error " Telnet for RedBoot not enabled ". Can anyone shine some light on this problem.
Thanks

I was going to populate the empty pads when I get a Fon 2. I will tinker with it and see what I can learn for the time being.
Thanks for the info
