    well the last chapter in the saga just recieved an email from Data alliance they were willing to do a full exchange and pay for shipping to the proper items 8/32 ram/sdram ..... so Paypal really screwed up and really made things harder with dealing with honest stores .. I wonder what they are like with dishonest ones ?.. but anyways no thanks to Paypal things worked out .. so beware ... with Paypal with your orders ..

    well so every one knows since I didn't .. paypal really doesn't do exchanges so if you end up getting the wrong item or ordering the wrong item you mostly not get and exchange .. (in reality paypal will not tell you that till its too late ..) so anyways this is the last time I going to use paypal in ordering anything if I can .. i never got an exchange on the items and now stuck with 3 board that I don't really want and have to order 3 more I think they intentionally made the procedure harder then it should be by cutting off communication with data alliance regarding just an exchange .. by the way .. paypal also asks for documentation regarding the items recieve which may cost you more then what the item is worth since you have to get expert opinion

    So beware and be forewarned

    well that may be but the 2 boards and their home-made unit with wrt flashed were the wrong units all the boards only have the smaller ram/sdram sizes .. I prefer getting the hornet boards only since its cheaper and I don't like the case form factor or the cable they use for the antenna so in reality the extra 15 or what ever the cost diffrence was for the antenna and case is of no use to me and I would rather spend the money on a better cable with a N connector and better antenna (panel or sector )and a different case to integrate the power supply for the hornet and usb wifi dongle powered usb hub and maybe a couple of wifi amps together..and also add a couple of cooling heat sinks to the boards

    well Thanks .. for the info hopefully I can get an exchange for them some time soon .. they must be over stocked with the lower end models because they don't seem to want to do an exchange but rather give me a partial refund of 100usd on a order of 239usd.. which tells me that they don't want the product back

    Well its going through Paypal right now .. so not sure if its just a miscommunication or what but I did email them when I first went to flash the units and noticed that they weren't the right ones but even on their website the product details are incorrect the ram/sdram configuration are incorrect 8/16 .. when you check the Alfa site its 4/16 or 8/32...

    I did try to contact them through their email at first but got no respond and that was way back in the beginning of May ..so its starting to draw on me a bit since I really want to get down to business and set the units up and start playing with them ..

    Hi I was wondering if anyone knows what the minimum hardware requirement is for the pineapple mark iv .. because I just ordered a couple of Hornets-ub from Data Alliance and they shipped out the wrong boards .. I got the 4/16 board as to getting the 8/32 flash/sdram...and having a hell of a time getting them to exchange it as to the proper ones ..

    I( must of misunderstood Darren but.. he he say he was using a wireless card yo do the attack if so what card is he using..? the same question goes for what card was he is when they did the demo for firesheep ? I thought the card has to be in promiscuous mode.. and only the wifi dongle from cace would do that under windows?

    Well thanks for you replies...

    checked out open mesh but the shipping cost are crazy.the router is very reasonable in price. but the of shipping cost 3 times more then what the product cost..

    Yes I'm cheap........

    So I'm going to try to find a router locally.. but I do have one question re the compatable chipset used .. is the driver only for 2315 athero chipset or 231x can be used?

    has anyone sucessful used bt 3 with xwindow .. on the acer one i haven't been able to get the graphic interface to work due to low graphic mem on the netbook... also the acer one is bad for bois prob my failed with in a week .. the unit got bricked but there is a fix out there bios recovery...
